Wonderful overview of Syracuse. The video is perfectly paced and full of very useful info about what to see and do. I particularly loved all the old ruins. It's cool that there's both Greek and Roman theatres!
Syracuse looks like a charming and interesting destination for history lovers wanting to brush up on Roman and Greek culture. I would love to spend some time there.
I have to admit to knowing nothing about Syracuse before watching this video so thanks for the entertainment and education. Definitely a place I'd like to go.
Syracuse was probably my favourite of the larger towns in Sicily! And of course, the whole downtown area is a World Heritage site ;) We had some great sandwiches at the markets, and the ruins are just spectacular! Thanks for the reminders haha
Hey Chris - Those are some killer shots of the market. Sicily is a confluence of cultures. What interests me is the influence of Northern African spices on much of the cuisine there. And those fish at the market looked incredible. I don't know who lived in that house either but you know that they were munching on some killer seafood. Wait - a burger for dinner? What?!!!
The fresh varieties of food in that market looks very good! Which one did get to eat? Was that a raw octopus? Yay! Reminds me of Bangkok! So is the church dedicated to world war I still open for public? I love churches being brought up in a Catholic country and the massive and dark cave, I was expecting bats inside! Isn't creepy inside, been to such a cave like that!
I am hungry and looking at the market isn't helping this situation right now lol. The Pantheon is nice. A Roman and Greek theater in one...my kinda place.
+Poroto Z I know, I know. That’s bad. After exploring that archeological site I was so hungary and that restaurant was all I could find in the area. :(

Beautifully captured the essence of the ancient archaeological site. Thank you for introducing me to a new destination.

Such beautiful ruins! mouthwatering markets! Cave adventures! But didn't you enjoy any of that incredible seafood? :)
Wouldn't mind taking a trip to Sicily. That amphitheatre looks pretty impressive and so does that massive cave (apart from the bats!).
