Your evergreen collection is looking so beautiful. I've been rearranging things in my front garden so I can see my favorites out the front window. This revealed my Guardian Angel hosta and I thought I must tell Let's Grow about this one. Anyone who loves the leaf color on Beacon Silver will love this hosta! It has fairly broad leaves with that lovely misty mint green color and the edges are streaked with darker olive green. The edges undulate and it looks so calming and gorgeous. It's supposed to get wider than mine is which is now about 20 inches across after 3 years but mine is planted under a silver maple which invades the ground with spider webby matted roots right to the surface. Guardian Angel can take quite a bit of sun without scorching. I transplanted mine to under the tree where it gets about 3 hours of direct late afternoon sun and the color is better - more contrast and more saturated. I found mine at a grocery store so I think it is probably an older variety. Do you grow kitchen veggies or do you put up veggies for the freezer? I am growing a few food items in pots and grow bags for the first time and don't have any experience in preserving food over winter. A tripod for your phone would supply an extra pair of hands! Any chance a trip to your hubby's shop would have one? Even if you dropped a HINT. Lol

That hosta sounds so interesting! I found one on Etsy sold by Quest Creek Gardens. I bought it!! $24.95 with free shipping. The shop had excellent reviews and rating. My husband would say you are a bad influence on me haha!!🤣. The pictures of it on Etsy really showed off that unique color you were talking about. Thank you for telling me about that one 🥰.
I want to save up for a GoPro camera.. that way I can attach it to a hat or something and be able to use two hands.
I grow a few tomatoes… cabbage.. and onions. But that’s about it for this year. I got so frustrated with the squash bugs last year that I decided not to invest in too many veggies. We are surrounded by Amish and they all have produce right in our neighborhood so we can get fresh veggies any time. I used to can a lot of food. Even meats. But I haven’t done that in a while. A good pressure cooker is a must if you want to preserve food for the winter. You may have one. I was scared to try it at first. I thought I might kill my family with botulism…but after many youtube videos on canning and reading a few books and talking to some older (wiser) ladies, I jumped all in and it was fun! I made grape jelly from my grapes last year (which is really easy .. however messy).
Thanks again for your sweet comment and information on that beautiful hosta! I can’t wait to see it! 😍

@@letsgrow260 That's so great that you were able to find it so quickly...and for a good price too! I am excited to see you plant it.
