This video deserves a thumb up! I haven’t been to Boracay yet but I appreciate that our government decided to rehabilitate Boracay to preserve its beauty. No previous top public official took notice of how important it is to take care of our places in the country. Only President Duterte was willing to invest our money and time into this. I am pretty sure the people in Boracay appreciate and feel how important they are in the president’s heart.
I've been waiting for this! The road widening and new sidewalk makes Boracay even much more world-class. This should be a template for all our tourist beach islands. Hats off to Sec. Villar and also Sec. Cimatu for a job well done in reviving Boracay!
Great driving tour! Thanks!
And yet ang ibang Pilipino kung makapgsalita against the government ay akala mong kahuhusay. Simpleng pagtapon ng basura di magawa ng maayos. Real talk!
Yes ! You're Right ! For A Couple Of Years I've Been Worked In Boracay...It Was The Rubbish That Should Be The Main Problem ! Day-In, Day-Out...It Never Changed, In A Matter Of Fifteen Minutes Rainfalls...The E- Mall And The Talipapa Area Main Road Is Already Flooded Because Of Waste And Lacking Of Effective Drainage System ! But Nowadays, I Just Can Figured Out That Those Problems Were Already Corrected ! Thanks To The Total Rehabilitation Job For This Wonderful Island !!!
Good job
Been in Boracay 40 yr ago. No cars and no motorcycle on the island. No stray dogs, no T-shirt verdors either. But also no grid electricity, and no internet. The good old days for Backpackers. A peaceful tropical island, my cottage direct at the white beach cost 30 peso or 60 cent a night.
I like the public transportation you have there and the flow of the traffic. Quiet, no pollution and small good for small roads like that and not like the gasoline tricycles and the jeepney’s. Noisy, full of smokes and blocking the roads. Also the roads with extra widening for unloading and loading passengers and parking space. So neat and organized. I hope the whole country is like that too. Keep it like that Boracay! ❤️
Thanks for this video. I hope those who oppose the rehab back then will see the real reason why change is needed. This vid made me reminisce the time when we were walking around the neighborhood near the church at basketball court looking to buy a gillete razor hahaha that was in 2005!
Kundi sisikip at mabababoy ulit. Look at what happened 2 Baguio, Matabungkay beach, Banaue Rice Terraces, etc. Walang kaayusan. Traffic, squatters, madumi, maingay... sana di mangyari sa bagong Boracay.
Bilis ng progreso ng lugar , I remember when I’ve visited Boracay way back 2004…huge changes…how I wish I can go back after pandemic…beautiful white sand beach 🏝
What a memories here.. been in Boracay twice, and I was also about to buy a house there.. At that time I was worry about the island condition and just didn't feel right, even if it was a destination for many tourists. I saw restaurant, shops and hotel doing wrong things I was wondering when all of that mess was ending so i decided to don't buy the house there anymore. Then the island was closed for renovations and Virus to follow.. I wish I come back there one day and experience a better place
42 years ago, my three small kids, wife and I would walk the distance from Talipapa now to Yapak along single trails with two or three huts along the way. We brought our breakfast food including the thermos with hot water for coffee when we get to the puka beach. My eldest who was only 8 years old then went on to become a GM of a triple A resort in the island but has since then been a GM of an Ortigas Hotel and a Triple A resort in Bohol.
wow! this looks like one those first \ world class, top tropical island tourists destination! foreign\local tourists are gonna have a blast after the pandemic! 👍💯🇵🇭🌎
Now atleast ang mamasyal ay masasabing makakapag relaks na at may peace of mind pa, at makakatanggal ng stress dahil sa work... sna balang araw makapunta ako jan at makapag relaks man lang alisin ang mga negative sa katawan na dulot ng trabaho..😁😁😁
Now that it has been redeveloped, safe to say Boracay will always be one the best beaches if not the best in the world. Looking forward to revisitng Boracay 2.0. Big thanks for showing us around here.
Thanks for the tour! It really change a lot, well organized road and now have a side walk, very different from past times. Salute to prrd administration. 👍
Nice gumanda boracay ah.
I wish they would let carabao grass grow on either side of the road. That will prevent erosion and dust and mud from flowing to the pavement. It also makes the road pleasing to the eyes.
Cong.Loren Legrda's son is into solar business.
Amazing to see the improved footpaths and road, plus the innovation that is E-trikes, the latter way roomier than Filipino tricycles that Westerners find challenging to enter and exit from. Great work, but difficult due to so many businesses encroaching on the roadway.
@ivan james excuse me sir, but i'm referring to politics...kasi sa lahat ng presidenteng dumaan (except Marcos) wala sa kanila ang pagiging political well lalo na yun previous administration, puro lang rebolto at flagpole ang napagawa ..thanks
Once the Boracay Island Development Authority (BIDA) will be officially approved, there will be more things to come not just in the island but also in the nearby mainland villages of Caticlan where the Seaport and proposed Bridge project are located, and villages in Nabas where the Airport Arrival Terminal and SMC Properties are underway.
Kudos to all landowners affected by this improvements, at least give some credit to the locals whose lands are completely wiped out due to this projects
Para sa mga di pa nakapunta ng Boracay like me...sana may Before and after videos or kahit picture man lang for comparison.... Thank you for this video..Boracay is really one of the the Gem in our country
I wish Boracay will be a green city. In the other side of boracay shall be a good site for fish farming and shells. There will be a small agricultural land to be farmed for various vegetables to be supplied ; and a Botanical garden for additional income of the residents...
I think Boracay Island is part of the municipality of Malay, Aklan Province in Western Visayas Region. I heard that the Malay is trying to upgrade it's status into Cityhood where it will becomes a Component City of Aklan Province. I don't know whose going to get City Status between Malay and Kalibo, the Capital of Aklan, which is also pursuing it's Cityhood, because it already had International Airport within plus several Commercial and Tourism Establishment going up there.
The Boracay rehabilitation project like this must be continued to other islands with good beaches. Tourist love roaming around the islands. Maybe, a PPP project to interested investors who can improve the island, supply of electricity, the internet connections, the roads it's sewerage and water treatment system. One important factor is also the security of visitors and the transport system. All inhabited islands can be productive that will help the gov't in infrastructures and others related to tourism. This is only my suggestions and comments.
Duterte did a great job in Boracay Rehabilitation. Kudos and great job to Sec Cimatu, DPWH sec villar and all the workers and people who clean and maintain this paradisd. Lets make this a template for our tourist spots.
Wow a lots of development specially the roads that would attract more investors in the world of spiorts like motorbike racing or a car racing etc. if they focus on a world class road design costruction..which is very possible for the future of BORACAY as we as Aklanon should be ptoud taking care of it and love for the next generation to come ...mayad nga adloa sa inyo tanan GOD BLESS.
6:17 That indentation before the gas station is a safety issue! Drivers have normally blind spots and if you don't notice it, it can cause an accident. I wonder if they can just remove it. The wheelchair access does not make sense because it does not have a pedestrian crossing next to it so I don't see the point why they put it there. Thanks for the video. I can happily comment on things that probably need changing based on what I see. Stay safe.
Greetings from USA! They should also provide tourist golf carts as means of public transportation for all tourist in Boracay as a world class destination vocation.
Never been there kahit di pa rehabilitate. Soon makakapunta and bakasyon sa Bora.
Wow 😳 Totally Rehabilitation Of Road From Caticlan Jetty Port To Station 1,2 and 3 At Bgy. Hagdan ! One Missing Is The Habal- Habal- Transport, Which Might Be Lessen, Because Lacking Of Foreigner Or Due Of The Pandemic ! Nevertheless, It's A Total Facelift, Especially In The D'Mall Area, And The Balabag Man- Made Lake ! Soon I'll Be Visiting The Paradise Island Again Not To Work But As A Guess !!!
tweet: Change “bulabog beach” to "shoreline beach." Change the “main Thoroughfare” into Vboracay Drive.
To truly appreciate the changes they did here, you need to see the old streets of Boracay. Check it out here by clicking on this Google Street View. goo.gl/maps/YirVPoTLdXi5qYE89

Great driving tour! Thanks!
Respect to that, people have no idea how hard it is to develop islands nation.
Some even comparing them with land nation which is unfair.
How many memories that we have from this place......thank you so much that you remind us the plenty of beauties from this country!!!!
The road looks more organised, aesthetically nicer, and probably safer for motorists and pedestrians! Thanks for the video!

Taga Aklan ako pero never pa ako nakapunta ng Boracay😁 Super ganda!
Kudos to all landowners affected by this improvements, at least give some credit to the locals whose lands are completely wiped out due to this projects

Thank you for this driving tour my friend.
Can't wait to go back to BORA super Ganda na. Sama Sama tayo maglakwatsya sa BORA ⛱️

I would love to visit someday soon ❤️
WOW GANDA NA MG BORACAY! IM WALKING TOO BUT IN JAPAN.THANKS.
Amazing tour bro... 😍
Enjoyed...😇
Keep up the hardwork..✌️
Stay safe and stay connected❤️❤️
6:17 That indentation before the gas station is a safety issue! Drivers have normally blind spots and if you don't notice it, it can cause an accident. I wonder if they can just remove it. The wheelchair access does not make sense because it does not have a pedestrian crossing next to it so I don't see the point why they put it there. Thanks for the video. I can happily comment on things that probably need changing based on what I see. Stay safe.
Greetings from USA! They should also provide tourist golf carts as means of public transportation for all tourist in Boracay as a world class destination vocation.
Don't forget to try "Back beach burgers" for some juicy quality burgers while you are in boracay😊🍔
Thanks to tatay digong to rehabilitation of boracay😍
Never been there kahit di pa rehabilitate.

Soon I'll Be Visiting The Paradise Island Again Not To Work But As A
Guess !!!
Nice!. Now the locals and the LGUs should do the hardest part..maintaining and keeping it clean.
Greetings from USA! They should build bollard light all along the road in Boracay beach area since this is a world class destination for Tourist.
Wow!!! Nice ....

Well done. Good video.
THANK YOU....
tweet: Change “bulabog beach” to "shoreline beach." Change the “main Thoroughfare” into Vboracay Drive. Kaya Yan! God speed. may2021.
