I loved him so much! I met him at a show once and had him talk to my roommate on the phone. He said “hello! Michelle?! This is Wesley Willis. Say rock. Say roll! Have a nice day.” She couldn’t believe she was on the phone with him.
I remember the say Raawwwk say rooooll thing! He was so awesome. It's cool to see other people on here who spent their time going to Wesley Willis shows as well!
That's fucking awesome! I also got to hang with him for a few days while he was on tour. It was pretty sweet because we got to jam with him. I received many headbutts from him. When he gave you guys headbutts did he also say rauuuul after? He said that everytime! Such a nice dude...
The dudes right about people remembering him long after he’s gone. He died right around when I was born and I’m just now finding out about him. He is a rock legend
It's really cool to hear Henry Rollins say that about Wesley. I met him (Wesley) back in like '98 and got to hang out and jam with him for like 3 days while he was in Ann Arbor. He was such a nice and gentle dude, that always stands out in my mind. I also received many headbutts from the man. Rauuuul Wesley, rauuuul!!! Till we meet again...
I met him at the Double Door in Chicago while visiting from California, in the mid 90s, and saw his performance. He is unforgettable. When Super Size Me the movie used Rock And Roll McDonald's I nearly flipped. I was so excited for Wesley.
5:58 WHOA, that's me headbutting Wesley Willis. Or rather, that was Wesley Willis headbutting me! And that was my second time around, too! RIP Wesley, you were a sweet person.
it is my assertion Wesley was a modern day Robert Johnson. using a simple, standard medium to drive home his message of life and his blues.. God bless Wesley, I hope you're happy now..
Truly an inspiration for the human spirit. You are pure rock and roll, Mr Willis, and I hope your inspiration is remembered for a long time to come. His work is far more thought provoking than any top 40 release I've heard in years.
Thank you so much for this. I thought about Wesley today and searched Spotify for his music, listened and it lifted my spirits, then found this doc, thanks again so much. Wesley is a great artist, the art is so pure and raw I love what Henry and everyone said 🙏🏼🐬
Thanks for the kind words. Wesley was such a special person and I feel lucky to have been able to spend time with him. I'm glad this doc could bring you joy!
"Number 4, I'm gonna fuck ya up like a goddamn accident! And number 5, Jesus is the answer!" "...Mitsubishi: The word is getting around!" I've been a WW fan for 15 years, and this little clip shows why. :-)
@CaptainRon2341 - We were lucky enough to get in touch with Wesley's people and go on a few small tours with him, having full access to shoot what we want. Along the way, we happened to meet some of his biggest fans, including Rollins and Jello. Things just came together over a year or so. Lucky to have met the man! A unique talent who will be missed.
I met him in southgate house venue KY. I bought his cd from him, at the merch table. I saw him head butting friends but I stayed outta that line. Love to lie but I settled for a handshake. He was a legend I couldn't believe when I read he had passed soon after. Within a year I believe. Stil blast that cd whenever things get too serious.
@mccraejeremy He had messages probed into his songs rock and roll mcdonalds was talking about how you can become over weight at fast food resturants in america very easily.
Lil Per Vert he's not a fucking circus animal you pathetic piece of shit. It's all about experiencing the living embodiment of rock n roll's free and fun spirit in its most purest of form
Eddy Vercetti I would never look at Wesley as a circus animal or anything less than a wonderful soul with the aim to make others happy. Off yourself for even implying that, shitstain.
When he says his ma smokes crack, he's telling you the truth. When he says "cut that mullet", it's good advice. There are few artists who are capable of being this honest. Also true with comedians. He sings the truth and accomplishes both. The question is, can you tell it's the real thing when YOU see it?
An HONEST ANSWER right here,;I saw him in 2002 having never heard of him before. He played cut the mullet, and he played'suck a palominos d$ck" and we laughed out loud. After 15 to 20 songs and listening to more honest lyrics about who he liked and who he had beefs against, well our laughs turned to " hell yeah" and he communicated more feelings than any new pop acts for sure. His artistry, confidence, and appreciation were pure and honest. He didn't know how to fake. Rocked it like a car crash. Rocked all the way to Russia.bought his cd straight from him at the merch table southgate house Ky R.I.P.

That's awesome. He was such a character. I once got to interview him in Seattle in 1998 (on condition of a head-butt, of course).
I remember the say Raawwwk say rooooll thing!

@@supermeansadie6753 yeah that was his thang! I still say rauuuul sometimes as a greeting because of him lol.
I met Wes in Wrigleyville before his fame. He was drawing pictures of the buildings. His drawings were beautiful.
The dudes right about people remembering him long after he’s gone. He died right around when I was born and I’m just now finding out about him. He is a rock legend
Bet your mommas ass he is.

Wow, to jam with Wes must have been something else. I'm just happy I got to meet the man.
That's a cool story, but regarding Rollins, frankly I've always saw him as a overconfident asshole that doesn't have much interesting things to say
Wesley Willis is whipping the werewolfs ass with a belt in heaven!
I met him at the Double Door in Chicago while visiting from California, in the mid 90s, and saw his performance. He is unforgettable. When Super Size Me the movie used Rock And Roll McDonald's I nearly flipped. I was so excited for Wesley.
He was gone by then but yeah it was good to see that
5:58 WHOA, that's me headbutting Wesley Willis. Or rather, that was Wesley Willis headbutting me! And that was my second time around, too! RIP Wesley, you were a sweet person.
Awesome!!

Part about Wesley being remembered long after whatever metal trend was popular is the truest shit ever
Wesley Willis singing a song about himself is so heartwarming
Note the mark on his forehead... he headbutted EVERYONE... and it was an act of love
it is my assertion Wesley was a modern day Robert Johnson. using a simple, standard medium to drive home his message of life and his blues.. God bless Wesley, I hope you're happy now..

Truly an inspiration for the human spirit. You are pure rock and roll, Mr Willis, and I hope your inspiration is remembered for a long time to come. His work is far more thought provoking than any top 40 release I've heard in years.

One of the most individual musicians I have ever encountered. I would have enjoyed jamming with him. R.I.P. Wesley

3:47 "..and I think that's part of his appeal..." . Such truth!
ROCK N ROLL WILL NEVER DIE. SCREAM DRACULA, SCREAM.
When Henry Rollins says you're cool, you're fucking cool.

Greatest artist in the history of the world
Superb man and artist
It's definitely better than Five Finger Death Punch.
Kinda goes without saying... ;-)

I WANNA HEADBUTT HIM 😭

he didn't seem to like rare and endangered spices which cracks me up
Damn you comic sans!!!
"That's the way it is just like serpent drag. And that's the way it is on the side of the serpent drag wheel."
This was really awesome.
Guy taking a loud piss 3:58 is the best part of this video
This shit was sad because he’s gone now and how troubled he was but damn he seemed like a lovely guy
Powerful stuff.
He sometimes sounds a bit like Lee Scratch. Thank you Mr Willis!!!!
Rock N Roll McDonald's , Cut The Mullet, Johnny Depp, just to name a few hits...miss you Wesley!
God bless him. 👐
That was fantastic! Where did all of this footage come from?
This dude must have 15 different documentaries about him
I feel like the Comic Sans font fits Wesley perfectly
If I welsey was still alive I would buy 1000 💿
At four mins if you listen you can hear someone taking a piss.
listen at 3:48
Why did they do an interview in a bathroom?
Holy smokes, Get The Fuck Away From Me is amazing.
@mccraejeremy He had messages probed into his songs rock and roll mcdonalds was talking about how you can become over weight at fast food resturants in america very easily.
awesome doc but the scene where the guys talking about wes someone just starts pissing like a waterfall you can tell he got uncomfortable
not until 3:48 did i realize this interview is taking place in a bathroom
If the Sex Pistols set out to ruin what was Rock N Roll, Wesley repaired it.
Rest In Peace.
4:52 - 5:00 AMEN works everytime
3:50-4:00 INTENSE PISS
3:48 guy is just pissing in the background of the interview
Is that jellow from dead Kennedys
Ye
anyone notice his enlarged pineal gland?
Ninja Gaijin no reason to have brought up the Muslim example dude, unnecessary
E Vercetti no? How's it unnecessary? He's giving an example that some people know so it'd be easier to understand how he got the bump on his head?
@@phatmanpushimbak8903 are you wesley willis
Rock and roll McDonald's 😔
It's too bad he got so overweight and unhealthy. He could still be rockin' now.
how can that man take his music seriously

Was he a comedy act or is that how people wrongfully interpreted him? Like was he being laughed at or laughed with?

In grade 7 & 8 I used to headbutt girls I liked as a way of physical touch lol. It was a conversation starter but yeah not too effective lol.

Biafra,Rollins and the rest are posers compared to MR.Willis.
