For Seniors: Viking always makes their cruises accessible to everyone. There are options for those more or less mobile. There were ramps to get on and off the boat, but I saw people that used walkers navigate them.
For Solo Travelers: It was an easy trip for a solo traveler. The dining seating allowed for connections and conversations with other passengers--you felt like you got to know everyone by the end of the cruise. Viking handles luggage, transportation, and any special requests with ease.
Thank you for this video. We are actually taking this trip this summer, your video parts, one and two were very well done and have been helpful to us.❤
I'm so glad it was helpful. That is why I started this channel---to hopefully help other travelers. Have a fabulous trip!

Fabulous video and very informative. I very much enjoyed it. (Going on the Douro River for an 8-day cruise next May.)

@@seniorsolotravel Sooo looking forward to it!
I’m hoping to go to Portugal in May but can’t afford this cruise. Do you feel it’s safe for a retired single lady to travel alone? Any suggestions? I’ve been to 40 countries mostly alone.
Yes, I felt very safe in Portugal. Of course, you should always do a little research in any big city to make sure there aren't pockets of worry. I loved Porto, Regua, and Lemago the best--and Salamanca, Spain is close by. Although I have some more cruises planned, I'm actually leaning toward land travel these days and booking my own trip. It definitely gives you more freedom and saves money. Good luck and happy travels!
