I can understand an American wouldn't quite grasp what a monarch was for (it is barmy after all) but would have thought it was common knowledge that we had one. Also, TV personality "Mr Blobby" was more popular and possibly held more power and influence after she lost her majority and respect of her party.
Yeah anyone outside the Commonwealth or countries that don't have royal families are that ignorant. The Queen may not "rule" the country as in centuries before but she still is the big boss. “Loophole allowing them to carry concealed firearms” nope just the second amendment; plenty of people in the US regularly carry a concealed firearm or even firearms.
There's more restrictions (or, at least more red tape to get through) in order to carry a firearm in a professional capacity.
