Founded in 1865 to combat the rise of counterfeit currency in the U.S. the Secret Service has evolved to the first line of defense for not just the President of the United States but for the First Family and visiting heads of state as well. With an annual budget of about $2.2 billion a year, there are now more than 7,000 Secret Service members. Some are pencil pushers, others are tech nerds, and some are ready to take a bullet for the Commander in Chief without hesitation. But no matter their role, everyone is important. And while their day-to-day tasks may seem obvious to most, there are those tasks that range from strange to intriguing. I have always had the highest respect for members of the Secret Service. These are truly supremely developed agents, including one aspect not covered in the video: It doesn't matter if they personally agree with their protectees or like them (or vice versa) - they are fully committed to a higher duty, protecting their charge at all costs. And they do that incredibly well. Respect.
Me as a gun enthusiast if I was president: "My hobby is your hobby"

Dad fought from Normandy through the Hedge row country and all the way to Bastogne. He was an excellent shot , but it was his tactics that impressed the Army and one of their Generals was very impressed. Best secret service personnel don't have that much training or experience in the field . Patton was who recognized dad .

@@SuperPresidentBeefbroth Well, I’m not surprised I’m glad to hear that they have those skills what I do expect from anyone that has worn in the military to uphold our constitution does that wood I also expect is that the police for government agencies or the military not turn against their own people. Anyone that does that all bets are off.
You forgot about the micro-printing that all printers produce. Gives model and serial. Helps track the location where sold.
Years ago we had a President visit our city that was well publicized. I sat near a window that overlooked a nearby section of the airport. Other employees who were on break would listen to news or hear something about his visit and when someone told me that the President had left, I pointed to the still quite visible, but very stationary plane that had no activity around it. Either I decided either the media was lied to or that he was on a different aircraft since the plane we saw didn’t take off until very late evening. It was obvious that confusion/deception was at play.
Great deal of details and highly organized movements just to protect the President. Amazing!
It’s a shame when “The Boss” instigates the mayhem.
My secret service detail is fully equipped with diapers & can change me anywhere, in the matter of seconds. It's quite amazing. 👍🏻☕️

On # 11, Hotels (particularly covered were foreign) made me wonder: If visiting another country, why not stay at the American embassy there? Granted, there will be cities that the embassy is not is, but if it is even in short driving distance, I would think the embassy *should* be more/easier to secure.
Y’all remember that movie guarding Tess where Nicolas Cage was secret service agent in charge of guarding the former First Lady played by Shirley Mclane not sure how accurate it was but it was a good movie, on the other side in the line of fire was excellent and shows the treasury side

They still have to have a sample on file of your DNA to match it up. I believe only convicted felons have to submit their DNA to the federal database.

One of my neighbors in college were visited by Secret Service when George W Bush spoke at the Kalamazoo Airport. One of the guys who lived there was pretty flagrant and threatening in regard to W on Yahoo News chat rooms. The agents interrogated them, realized the one dude was just an keyboard warrior, and told them not to leave their house til Bush was gone.

Very interesting film. The only negative was the use by several reenactor's of AKM's and AK 74's. They are excellent weapons, but not capable of surgical fire.

there isn't a bag with just the president's blood, their is a medical team who travels in a fully kitted operation room with all essentials on standby, not just for the pres, but ALL of those present from family, his travelling staff, advisors, and the USSS personnel..Hope this info helps.

1) Theres NO blood banks* onboard
2) The main PSD (Personal/Presidential Security Detail agents from the USSS (United States Secret Service) are suppose to be seen so as to act as a deterrent where if they were hidden (covert) and should the public not see any POTUS security present, there would then be 'attempts' to approach, manhandle or attack the POTUS which all breeches are treated as a potential assassination...AND don't bother testing the security...the USSS is permitted to shoot to kill whether the person is armed or not.
3) YES... There is up to 45 covert (undercover/hidden) USSS agents walking through the crowds with wireless coms so you cannot tell at all where they they all are..and they are unbelievable at blending in.
4) Yes there is many surveillance proceedures in place from drones present that have special audio software (as do NYPD) that after a gun shot, it can determine from above the exact location (up to 2m) of the shooter and flys there to then and monitor until USSS personal arrive. No, before anyone asks, it does NOT have a gun. 😁
It also has facial recognition with all potential threats faces and air monitoring devices.
5) At all times there is a CIA satellite providing an actual live satellite feed above the POTUS where ever hes is globally which is sent to the USSS command centre which due to National Security I can not divulge anything about it at present, including what it can see.
6) Yes..there is a van in the escort that has cellphone blocking up to 500m should an incident take place... so.as to prevent a secondry act taking place.
7) There is also another vehicle loaded with very sensitive detection equipment that monitors all of the surrounding air for poisons, biological gasses and Radiation airborne particals up to 2km away.
8) *NO... there is NOT a bag of the POTUS blood inside that just has the POTUS blood.
There instead is a complete 6 person medical team inside the 'Med1' vehicle who travel in a fully kitted operation room with all essentials on standby, not just for the POTUS but ALL of those present from family, his travelling staff, advisors, and the USSS personnel.
9) Those saying that a USSS agent had a false arm with gun hidden in his sleeve during the Trumps walk, I know and are friends with this person and definately has both arms.. please now lay off the drugs and go have some sleep.😊
10) My contribution to protecting such VIPs is that to recommend to the US DoD PENTAGON that all PSD agents carry a personal Geiger counter to detect radiation up to 400m away.

Note SS Agents took Riding lessons prior to any horse riding presidents. My wifes GF taught them. Its actually how i met her lol.
