A nice honest review Mike. So many people would compare this to a Fanatec and say it's rubbish but the truth is if you are really struggling for cash this might be the best thing you can buy. And you have just proved that it is perfectly usable as a base wheel and allow people to just try the hobby and see how they do.
But also remember when u want to start out also look at the second hand market I did that a few years ago but obviously I upgraded since then so now I buy my products brand new
One entry level wheel I'd be very interested to see a review of is the Hori DLX. Hori's well known for gamepads and fight sticks and they made a bunch of bungee cord wheels in the past but they recently made a gear driven 900° FFB wheel that competes in price and features to the Logitech wheels. No simracing channels seem to have made a review on it yet though. It would be interesting if it's good enough to be worth buying over a Logitech wheel.
that's an amazing package for the price...(!!!) I'm always glad to see inexpensive entry-level equipment to get MORE people into our wonderful/terrible little hobby of sim racing!! :)
Well, if it's a beginner Budget friendly, but great value for money shifter with great longetvity that you're looking for, SHH is the way to go! You get enough gears to drive Freddy's C7 Corvette* with, H-Pattern and Sequential with a Changeover that lasts less than 30 seconds, with full changeover including the Sequential knob and Top plate (sold seperately) in under a minute, great shifting feel in both modes, nearly no misshifts and all that for under a hundred euros. 98+Postage to be exact. Even if you buy the Sequential plate, you will pay about 110 Euros+Postage for it. That is 68 Euros (80 if you don't get the sequential plate) less than for a TH8A Shifter, and that one is an absolute PITA to change to sequential mode. The TH8A has lost all reason to exist IMO. Only downside is the wait right now, it's about 4 weeks from order to fnishing the production, plus shipping, but it's not as bad as when I ordered it in early summer, it was about six weeks back then. Funny thing is, I had a friend over that recently replaced his G27 (modded) with a T300 and was like "Yeah, a Shifter is not really a priority for me." Well, we tried the shifter out and he went "Well that shifter is actually pretty good, makes the shifts (in AMS 2) really nice and that one might even make shifting fun in games like ETS (Euro Truck Simulator), where I normally only run automatics." At the end of the first day he was looking into the payment options and before he had left, he had ordered his own SHH Shifter, like me with the Sequential plate. If you don't have one and want a shifter, yeah the Logitech G-Shifter is about 50 Euros right now........but remember: a) you need a logitech wheel or an adapter for it, b) to make that one feel good, you need an upgrade kit like the 3drap one, which costs about 27,90-35,40 Euros+Postage so you're at about 78-85 Euros. c) you're still not going to have a proper sequential mode like on here, yeah you can get a sequential plate for the 3drap cambio V3 mod, but it's doutable. d) it's all 3d printed plastic in the Mod, unlike the more durable metal internals of the SHH. and e) it's still only 14-26 Euros less than the SHH Shifter, which works right out of the box and does not require you to void warranty. I mean I like tinkering, including scale modelling, so having to build something is not a negative in my view, but there are some people who don't really like doing that, my friend included. (Yeah I also built his computers for him, he orders the parts, and I get free bed, board and beer when I come over to do that! :D *Friend of mine named Frederick used to own a C7 Stingray, no I'm not a massive Corvette Fanboy, but it was a bugbear of mine that you couldn't properly drive the Corvette in AC properly with the Logitech G-Shifter as it had one gear to few. ;)
This looks like a great option for switch owners. I saw in another review that the parking brake button on the H-pattern shifter is actually a toggle switch, so the h-pattern can be used as a handbrake. Paddles + Handbrake for those rally guys. Nice review Mike. $255 in Canada FYI.
For racing sims I probably wouldn't, but this looks like it might be a great option for Eurotruck/Americantruck/Farm Simulators and it has a dedicated low/hi range switch. Even with my T150 broken and out of commission and with a severe lack of monies I'm not sure if this would be a potential buy for me...
@@yang087 What do you mean? You have a regular foot brake and a button on shifter that can be used as a parking brake in Trucking Simulators. The only downside to this wheel for Trucking is the fact that it doesn't have force feedback

Kind of tempting because the ability to use on multiple consoles, I know its not listed but does it work on the Xbox 360 as well? Lots of racers I love on that system so that would be a great bonus!
Micro Center is selling the V9 for $99. Likely because PXN is taking pre-orders for the $300+ V10. With the PXN V3 Pro/V3II priced at $95 and the Thrustmaster T80 at $85 on Amazon, the V9 is a no brainer IMO at $100.

Good review. Good job on putting the wheel on a real rig. Others put it on a wobbly desk or table then complain about it even more. I'm sure it's a better experience on a cockpit rather than a desk and office chair. I understand most would probably do it that way but rigs today costs very cheap or you can just make one and have some fun. Maybe more fun than those sim snobs constantly chasing the dragon.

Okay, so I have few questions. Hopefully somebody will see this and be able to answer. First, does anybody have an official list of games this works with, specifically Switch games? If not, what are some of the titles that you've tested and what system did you test them on? Second, does the controller pass through for Xbox and Playstation have to be the official controllers or can they 3rd party? Specifically, can they be 3rd party wired controllers?
