- Today we are hunting for rare and valuable commemorative coins, we are hunting through a big bag of £250 today. Direct from the Bank!
We are hunting for new coins from the UK to add to our collection of 50p coins.
We are hoping to find all of the Beatrix Potter coins (including Jemima Puddleduck and Flopsy Bunny), all of the Paddington Bear coins, the very rare Olympic coins, including the football 50p (offside rule) and Triathlon and Judo, perhaps one day we might even find a 'lines over the face' Aquatics! We are, of course, also looking for the rarest 50p of them all, the 2009 Kew Gardens 50p Coin.
We also collect coins from the British territories; Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands, Isle of Man or even St Helena!

I found my one and only football, using the self service in Tesco a few years ago, put in a note, and out popped the change and noticed it was the offside rule, I was smiling all the way home 😊.

Epic find! Love it when CoinTubers find the rare ones. I had two footballs in my change a few years ago, I assumed they were common so gave one away. Never found one since. You're right, it seems to be a common find again this month or so for CoinTubers though.

Where you a similar kid back in the day of public phones, you'd constantly be checking the change slot for money? I think a couple of times I found $2 in the change section and it made my day everytime.

It's quite uncanny that a lot of hunts with very few finds in them are also ones where you get an absolute snorter! Excellent stuff in finding the Football, you could almost see you shaking with delight! 👏👍

I found my Kew Gardens on the pavement in Scotland. In fact most of the valuable ones I've got I got in my change in Scotland. Seems there are more of them in Scotland than England.

I did have a Kew garden in my change it was about 2012 I put it on the ledge by the front door,when I came home from work my husband said my daughter had taken the 50p I never knew it would become so collectable , I kept it at the time because I liked the design .so I often think back 😭
That football is a Great find, I've noticed over the past year that the coin cubers are finding less coins in there hunts, My Question to you is do you keep a count of how many commemorative you find each hunt...It would be interesting to know if any other coin tubers add there finds up after there video????

Ok so now I'm starting to watch the 50p hunt and my question is do they make fakes in them like the 2lb coins? I'd like to have a Sherlock Holmes 50p
I know I need a business to be able to get £250 in 50p but I don't have 1 so what can I do I love just going through the hunt and I got a Olympic football from a taxi driver in my change felt like I'd just found a kew 😆
Just pop into your bank and ask for them some banks will let you have them but you can only pay 10 bags back into the bank each day

Still need a football along with Judo to complete my first book (the Kew I found was in stunning condition). I think Bungle has cursed all the footballs. But I have just won an original genuine Master Temple painting so who's the real winner 🤔🤔😁👍 I have also found a 2011 shield but that's the only NIFC so far....

Kew gardens is the one that makes me sick
I work delivering pizzas and used to check the till all the time ended up spending them few days later the mintage numbers where out
Made me feel sick I had used abouts 4 Kew gardens during a time when I was broke
