As an American football fan, I love how these guys always tackle with nearly perfect form. Making sure they don't go for the head or use their own head to tackle. American football players can learn a thing or two from these guys

There's rules on how to tackle/takedown in rugby. American football, not so much. It can't be a malicious take down like tripping the legs or a slam, etc.
I read a many times that tackling in American football is more violent.

American football is easier to use the head because of helmet, paddings etc. Rugby needs good form to avoid injury

@@alexham28 the rules they imply is so you don't seriously cripple someone. Like hard tackle of the legs and head. No body slam etc. Everything else you can crash full force. You can't tackle full force in rugby and they have to be more care and specific on how they tackle.

As a tall but thin fullback playing in college I always hated seeing guys built like him coming at me full speed. Legs moving fast chopping at the dirt, thighs as thick as tree trunks- Those dudes sucked to tackle. I'd throw myself at them like a stick aiming for bike spokes, or something. But by god don't take a knee to your face or RIP.

@Slo Mo hahaha thanks man. Those fast & big guys were definitely scary to tackle! I had a guy like that on my team who would legit get angry at me for not tackling him in practice. I would line up the tackle and then let him pass at the last second(only if he was going full speed) and he'd bitch me out in front of the whole team. But I was always like, bro, you're going to kill me! But I never slacked in a game, I'd go 110% at those guys, cus greater mass+ speed = winning the collision. There was no half-assing it, all or nothing.

Historical Fact: Rugby was appropriated from a traditional combat sport played by Indigenous North American Native Americans using a deer hide ball.
It's still played by Euchi and Shawnee tribal members in bare feet and no protective gear.
The game was appropriated by Europeans as well as by Euro-Americans and modified, just as Lacross was also appropriated from an Indigenous Native American war game, and spread across the globe by Europeans.
American tackle football evolved from Rugby.
But it all originates with an Indigenous Native North American war game.

NFL is a hole different talent.
It takes massive balls to want to play american football.
Look at the wide receivers, running full pass down the field trying to catch a ball in flight while someone is trying to stop you or running full pass themselves wanting to take that ball away from you any means necessary, whether it be rip or or smash you so you drop it, they also have to get two feet down in bounds for it to be a completed catch.
The running backs, first they have to make it through a gab, get past on average 6'2 to 6'6 300lbs + men, then make it past linebackers that are around 230 - 250lbs & just as fast, then they have the safeties who are like torpedoes at times, who are around 180 - 220 lbs & most of the time faster then the RB.
The hate american football gets its rubbish.
There's very few rugby players like Tuilagi, Jonah Lomu, Va'aiga Tuigamala, their the only three I can think off.
Rugby is no where near as violent as it use to be.

    For someone unfamiliar with rugby:
The first clip says he swore revenge because he was "disrespected" when he was tackled trying to pick up the ball. Is there an unwritten rule that says you can't tackle someone while they're doing that? Because to an outsider it didn't look particularly cheap or violent.

    • @itsthestorkman6440
      @itsthestorkman6440 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

At that point it was pretty clear the ball was going out, and the other player didn't make an attempt at a last minute save, but rather a last minute whack, under the cover of a last minute attempt. It's nothing that anyone is going to get too bothered about, but a revenge shot seems reasonable.

Rugby is great, the Pacific islanders have some BIG boys, but you got to see some of the little guys EAT them for lunch. Rugby is a great sport, easy to understand - a gentlemans game.
Aggressive on the field, leave it there, have a beer with the oppoents afterwards - that's the ideology.

Not seconds. He doesn't see players all of a sudden. He sees opponents standing well ahead of time, and he is an experienced player. Reaction times have nothing to do with whether he is lifting his knee higher, and whether it's on purpose to hit with it. 3. How you feel or 'el tercel tiempo' are also irrelevant to the point ('He didn't do it on purpose because he would feel bad?' what), and he might not give a shit.
