My BMW G30 520i also didn't have launch control but when brake boosting it, you did indeed feel a different type of shift.
I have a GT53 and to do an emotion start, you just need to hold down one of the paddles while starting the engine as normal (press brake + engine button click).
I'll always support the channel no matter how badly the manufacturers are killing AMG with all this technology. I wish AMG would have stayed a separate entity. 😢

Looks a very comfortable car. You buy a car like this for comfort and relaxation. It is quick enough. If you want a racing car buy something that gives you that.
that is just an excuse. BMW delivers comfort and speed at the same time. At least they deliver what they promised when not faster. This one goes 8 seconds slower than promised. The auto gear changing seems weird. AN suv X5 hybrid by BMW would put this one to sleep. Not even gonna talk about all that noise.
10:08… My dads car is the 43 AMG.. Its the same Inline-M256-6-cylinder, but theres no addicional electric turbocharger like in the 53.. Its ok, not underpowered, but the best deal for this car has to be the V8-models
I'm pretty sure the 43 has exactly the same 48v mild hybrid system. It just has a slightly "weaker' tune.

this is amazing coupe limousine.
You are using a a very wide-angle lens action camera. It destroys any (especialy) external vew. Cars look as if you are filming through a external car mirror. Use a camera with more normal lens, especially in outdoors shooting
my favorite autobahn has 5 lines, close to my house on the German side and it's practically impossible to go to the maximum..Except at night...I understand the frustration.. (I don't go to bed at 3 a.m. just to do a burst of speed at my age)
If I lived where you live, I'd wake up every single night to drive. Here there are no such places.

C30 but actually pretty cool
This engine works a lot better in an E coupe which i have, or cls. The GT is too heavy and those wide tires kill its performance. Mine goes like crazy above 220 all the way to 278 which is its limit. Mines also really driven in, constanly driving high speeds. 100-200 around 11.5 which is quite a bit faster than others. It true though its far from a proper amg, but what is nowadays? I agree that BMW are way more competitive this generation.
right? GT 43,53 are a bit obsolete cause my CLS 400d (2022) does a 4.2s to 100kmh

For an Amg thats actually not that much of Performance because my C400 W205 was faster. Cant imagine the GT43... should have called it the GT450

Lexus LS500 AWD is faster than this 100-200 and it has 417 HP. Weight is similar I would say, so maybe it's the gearing for the 9 speed that's too long.
Mercedes should've put a detuned V8 in this and the 6 pot in the gt43
Yeah they should’ve put a detuned V8 engine making about 480-510HP, they could actually put the same engine from the GLS580 in the GT53 wich makes about 483 HP.

@@johannesf.2524 100-200 amg 13.2 bmw 14.4 0-100,the BMW 0-100 amg 4.5 bmw 4.6 where is it faster? You can't compare things like that. Diesel with decent horsepower and low weight, that's worlds apart. The BMW lacks torque at the top.

The m340d Touring also weighs only 100kg less, while having almost 100hp less.
For that price it should at least be 500+ hp.

easily... a stock m340i does 100-200 in just under 11 sec. that is 3.5-4 sec. faster. huuuge difference. this inline 6 is a great engine... but only in a car that doesnt weight more than 1.700kg ... the GT is way too heavy

doesnt matter because you compare limos with suvs those numbers are matched to get similar accelration numbers. like c43 and e53, E has more hp but is has the same accelartion time.

If it ain't a 63 it just a fancy version of a regular engine the same engine is in a 450 E class too it's the software that's different

The normal Mercedes s500 LWB has the same engine, same power weighs more but it is faster from 100-200. It will do that in about 12.9s
This Amg makes no sense.
Great Powerplant, but not for this car. In a CLS for sure. Hell, it‘s an AMG GT, it needs more punch and sound. V8 all the way.. It sounds like an angry hot hatch. This car is super expensive anyway, so all in or nothing.

This thing is so slow above 180 KPH is a joke, especially for the money, its ridiculous to call this an AMG. Too heavy and too much drivetrain loss for that amount of power/ torque, for it be truly quick. Slower than BMW 540 i. My old 2004 E55 kompressor would destroy it on a roll, despite being about the same weight and only 5 G auto,

tesla is good for a drag race, but on autobahn... But totally uninteresting on autobahn on long journeys.
I had more fun with my old S211 diesel on the highway than my Tesla. With my old diesel I could do hundreds of km with peaks of more than 200 km/h.. Impossible with a Tesla without having to stop to refuel often...
I drove a Tesla Model S with 1000 HP for 2 hours and it's absolutely no fun. At the beginning the acceleration to 100 was a blistering 2 seconds, but after that it gets boring. A V8, V6, V10, V12 is much more fun, even if they have less power.

Can’t stand these soft AMG’s, they scream “couldn’t afford the real deal”. There is literally no reason why you’d buy a soft AMG (A35 / C43 etc) other than the fact you just can’t afford the full fat version. It’s no different than buying a 2.3 mustang.

That is your point of view, I see an AMG GT43 as much more attractive than the 53 and 63, it is fast enough for anyone and can be your daily car perfectly without giving up aesthetics, many like aesthetics more than an engine that only 0.5% of owners will know how to take advantage of
