But honestly, as a huge, HUGE Kate Bush fan, who is absolutely in love with her voice and music sensibility, and also as a trained, experienced musician, I must say this girl kicked ass with this cover! Kate's version is one of the most memorable songs from my childhood and simply can't be replaced. I've heard a lot of different versions since and this is, without doubt, the closest and best of all of them, truly beautiful. I find Hayley's rendition equally haunting.

This is amazing! I originally knew the Pat Benatar version and fell in love with it. Only years later did I hear the Kate Bush version. At first I didn't like it, but it grew on me and I couldn't get enough of it. And now I am first hearing the version Hayley. I love her version, too. She sings this song as if she's reduced it to its own purity, it's genesis; in passion and pain but objective and clear.. It quenches you when you didn't know you were thirsty.

She has a beautiful voice and sings very well. The problem is that she didn't capture the emotions of the song. She sings smiling and it sounds like a woman happy for coming back home not like a desperate ghost who is torturing his lover, begging for be let in and grab him to hell.

I said she didn't capture the emotions of the song. It is a sad song, about a desperated ghost who cames to take his lover to hell. You cannot sing ' I hated you" with a smile in your face. A human can feel ill and still smile a human can feel well and cry. No human has ever the perfect facial expression to its feelings. Only a robot can do that and that is it what you want a perfect puppet who looks and sounds exactly like you want it. But Hayley is no puppet she´s alive and she has her own feelings. Your judgement is extremely unfair you judge because you don´t like her facial expression that disqualifies you completely. I recommend you one thing - go on stage if you can find an audience of lets say ten people and sing that song. Record that and then watch your facial expression. You´d be surprised how improper it is even though you felt exactly the right spirit. Now imagine Hayley who is standing before an audience of thousands of people. Imagine the pressure on her if she makes the slightest mistake a mistake we can not even realize but she can. If you had the slightest bit of empathy you could never judge like you do
