    Scherzer was on Pierzynski’s pod and said discussing waiving his no trade clause is a moot point because the Rangers are gonna figure it out eventually; sure enough they went into the all-star break hot. Not to mention Max is finally healthy and pitching like the Rangers expected him to last season. They’ve been ravaged by injuries and are gonna be getting a lot of important guys back which makes it less likely they trade him.

    They should be looking at the Cubs right now.

    RYAN!!! I’m sure you know this, but Ethan Holliday, brother of Jackson, is the #1 high school prospect in the nation, class of 2025 and I’m told he’s going to enter the 2025 draft!!! MAKE MOVES RYAN!!! MAKE CALLS!!! USE THAT GOLDEN RIPKEN NAME!!! We HAVE TO draft him!!! He’s 4 inches taller, 25lbs heavier and a little over three years younger than Jackson. This could be the second basemen of the future, the double play pairing with Gunnar. He’s a shortstop with great range, and we already have the plus arm at SS. He’s a SWEET swinging lefty, and we know with Jackson and Matt, there’s nothing he won’t overcome in the big leagues, and nothing he won’t be built or prepared to handle. This is the 9th piece!!! Jackson, Gunnar, Adley, Heston, Coby, Samuel, Jordan, Colton are the core 8(just like Cal’s 8!! Serendipitous!!)and Ethan is the 9th piece!!! Norby is the super utility bench guy of the core 8(hopefully core 9 in July 2025!!!)and Santander, Mullins, Mounty, Hays are the older core that we will eventually be forced to watch go into retirement while these 8 are hitting the stride of their primes. At 8 years younger than our 25YO guys, he’s just barely old enough to fit into the core and usher in the next young core that fulfills the slots left behind by the older core. MAKE THE CALLS! THIS IS A MUST DO!!! 6’4” 215lbs at 17 with shortstop athleticism and obvious God given talent and ability in baseball, plus his big bro in the dugout with him, SOUND FAMILIAR!?!?! Let’s be honest, without Cal and Senior, Billy is not a pro ball player, but what if Cal was the younger brother, and instead of Billy, the older brother, the lesser talent, is a Francisco Lindor level player?!?! WE GOTTA FIND OUT WHAT THATS LIKE!!! WHAT IF HES GRIFFEY JR FROM
    THE INFIELD?!?!?! ADDED TO THAT CORE 8?!?!?! RYAN WE ARE GONNA WIN A WORLD SERIES IN MY LIFETIME. ITS REALLY GONNA HAPPEN. I NEVER THOUGHT ANGELOS WOULD LET ME SEE THE DAY BUT THIS IS A SIGN FROM THE BASEBALL GODS!!! THIS IS THE LAST PIECE OF THE DYNASTY PUZZLE RYAN!!! CALL DAD!!!!

    The last two World Series all 4 teams averaged using 3-4 relievers and the starters mostly went through the line up twice. I think the move is beef up the bullpen. Rather than give prospects for a 5-6 inning rental starter

    Thoughts on the Bassit trade? I heard we could get Kirby Yates for Alex Pham. Can’t say I disagree with that. I hate trading pitchers when our staff isn’t built like our lineup just yet, but Kirby Yates is having an absolutely unreal season. .086 ERA, 3ER over 31.1IP with an unreal .126BAA. I think it suggests that the Orioles will resign him and Kimbrel next year if they have good years and they see more in the tank for next year. Consistent solid veterans with Bautista could be the big 3 we are looking for next year before we find a more permanent solution. If Alex Pham becomes an elite pitcher I’ll be super upset about this though in 2 years when he would be ready for his first full season in the bigs. Honestly it could be sooner because he should get bumped to Norfolk right now, just like Basallo, to have a shortened second half at that next level to prep for next year. Giving us the option to bring him up to the big leagues next year if he maintains the same dominance or better. I think I could swallow this if it was a position player in AA. Beavers, Horvath, even Fabian if need be, or even Stowers. A pitcher with a mid-low 2s era in AA is potentially way too valuable to us. Like my man said, at the end of the day, Elias is going to get us there and I’m so tired of being on the wrong end of trades with prospects developing into exactly what we need in another organization. If we were losing, if we didn’t have endless winning on the horizon, I’d be more interested, desperate, but we are comfortable. Let’s see what Pham can become.

    We worry about innings with Crochet but nobody talks about the injury prone Scherzer and whether or not he'll stay healthy the rest of the way. Scherzer is just as much a risk. Not sure I want to go down that road.

    The one problem with the Rangers being sellers is they are only 5.5 out of the division. They might not be thinking wild card (7 back). Honestly, it's the next 10 games that will decide it for most of these teams with losing records to admit they need to retool for tomorrow.

    Ryan, what about Anderson in LA? Look at his 21 season? I believe? When he was with the dodgers. He’s having the same season, but he’s on the market for the second half. He’s not a FA until 2026, and if he continues this season at this pace, we get lightning in a bottle, then he pitches next year and gets us to Bradish/Wells/Means(hoping we resign him)return from the DL making him a good trade piece if he’s pitching well or someone we aren’t going to miss if the good times end with 2024. It also should free up the player capital to get Mason Miller. Bradfield Jr and a supplemental addition in the form of Stowers or Beavers depending on the age group Oakland wants, should get that done all day. What do you think? Anderson of the Angels, thoughts?

    • @RYANRIPKENMEDIA
      @RYANRIPKENMEDIA  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Dannie, Anderson was a guy I did touch on in the episode yesterday.
      Definitely like the appeal, contract situation, and what the price tag could be.
      Gonna depend if angels are willing to move him

  • @LovinLoyalty
    @LovinLoyalty หลายเดือนก่อน

    Big moves = big attention. Teams will notice, adjust, accommodate. Acquiring Miller is necessary so we have to deal with that splash aftermath, but Anderson from the Angels might be quiet enough to prevent other teams from making big moves to compete with us and brush it off. Then he could pitch to a sub 3 ERA and give you a quality start from the #4 spot in October solidified by the improved back end, and we retain all of our key prospects with Bradfield and a Beavers/Horvath/Stowers caliber piece being the only guys we have to say goodbye to, but fill in the gaps. We don’t NEED a starter, it would be nice, and we could catch lightning in a bottle with Anderson, but still win without it and not gamble much on it at all. Plus you get him next year so you get two shots at him meeting his value, where he could be traded next season at the deadline when Bradish returns or is close to returning. Right as rain! Obviously I’d take Crochet if we don’t have to give up any of the big young talent, but I can’t see it happening. IN MIKE WE TRUST AND IN CALS NAME WE PRAY!

  • @specialmedia3123
    @specialmedia3123 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Scherzer should not cost much then they just need some low risk moves to add depth to the bullpen. Or get both Miller and Crochet. That would be great too. We would still have a huge window for 2-3 years. It will cost us top prospects but that's just a guess at this point.

  • @michaelyuscavage5179

      Why do so many people have interest in Eric Fedde. He flat the duck out sucks donkey ass. The guy has been a horrible picture for like 6 years and all of a sudden he's having his one good year, which happens to players all the time. They have that one good career year, and make no mistake about it thank your mortgage on it this is his. He sucks he's not good he's having one good year he's been trash for 6 years why would anybody give up anything for that scrub?

    Scherzer too expensive rental, Anderson with the Angels. He’s having a repeat season from his career best season with the dodgers. Free agent 2026 so he’s with us to bridge the gap to Bradish/Wells/Means(please resign)and if he pitches well he’s a good trade piece, if not he’s easy to say goodbye to. Cheap purchase, leaving stock to comfortably acquire Mason Miller because the bullpen is more important. Two aces can win a World Series if you never lose their starts, but without a shut down 8-9 or 7-8-9 out of the bullpen you won’t win all their games. The same way you won’t win the games of the starter you sell your prospects to rent for a season. What’s the sense in that?
