    Your videos are very informative, please keep up the good work. Although, please invest in an external mic or at least a better one, the noise from the winds sort of destroy the experience

      Thx! Actually was using an external mic on this video, but probably was too much noise (wind from the ocean and noise from the pool). Any recommendation with the mic?

    Great video... i will test youre tips next time training... just control relaxation und be relaxed as possible.
    My neckweight is now about 1.7kg. My strokes are much smoother and slower. I try to dont push the strokes strong as i can. The feelings, i told you last coments from other video, are minimal and sometimes does not come. Just the earch to breath is coming after 25meters and the turn...
    2 videos from you and my diving is much better and smoother...
    Keep on going...
    One question: do you got a tip to be absolutly relaxed under water? Before i start my dive my pulse is about 52-58 bpm withbreathing technique. When i leave the surface i can feel my pulse getting faster.. i allways try to concentrate on nothing but wont help.

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING
      @KAIZENFREEDIVING  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is close to impossible to concentrate on "nothing" haha. How about to concentrate on your technique? Think about how to relax your neck, face muscles, shoulders, how you kick and how you do arm stroke. Enjoy gliding feeling. Try to glide longer. Do short laps (less than contraction) more than you do hard distances.

    What can you do if in your city there'sno freediving buddies to go train with?

    • @shatol73
      @shatol73 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would limit diving time to 1 minute maximum and dive without contractions. In addition the surface interval should be at least 3 time longer your dive time. If you dive for a pleasure (like I do) then you don't need to chase meters, minutes and push yourself to limits. If you dive for sport then there is no substitute for a good buddy.

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING
      @KAIZENFREEDIVING  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I will completely disagree with the suggestion of Oleg. If you are training, even easy, you should have a buddy.
      Ok, what to do. If you are already a Freediver, find someone who at least occasionally do your safety. What you can do alone
      1. Swimming with fins - can improve your kicking style a lot
      2. Breaststroke swimming - can improve your technique for CNF/DNF
      3. Dry static - all variations (CO2 tables, 70% from MAX, full exhale STA etc)
      4. Apnea walking - all variations (make sure that the place is appropriate)
      5. All types of stretching/yoga/meditation. Will benefit all aspects of Freediving
      6. Anaerobic work - sprints (running or swimming), hill sprints, weight lifting, HIIT etc
      7. Dry equalization training
      As you can see - you can do A LOT!

      @shatol73 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand your position - you ought to disagree with me, because you cannot go against rules of the courses you teach for living. However, I am sure eventually they will recognise and start teaching solo freediving the same way they teach now solo scuba diving.
      It is just a reality - go to any swimming pool and you find at any time some kids, teens, or adults hold their breath and dive to get to the bottom or swim under water and reach the other side. I see now more and more girls in mermaid costumes go to my pool, hold their breath and swim underwater and nothing bad happens to them. Because they don’t push their limits and hold a breath until the first uncomfortable felling.

      It is not because it is my way to earn money. I love Freediving with all my heart and my lifetime goal is to make it as much popular as possible. This is why I am so strongly against violation of very basic safety rules. If someone will die in the pool while stupidly training alone - Freediving is going to be banned in this pool or even city. Or even state.
      Once I have a student who had 80 DYN as PB. Done it actually a couple of times. And on one training he had LMC at 70 meters. I was very very very surprised. So was he. Of course, it was not a big deal since I hold him and he recovered in less than 5 seconds. If he would be alone - he would die. Stupidly.
      Another example. Last year, one girl was "freediving" nearby. I put it in quotes because she had no idea how to do it correctly (know it as a fact). She died while diving around 25 meters. It is about 1 minute by the way. There was actually a discussion if Freediving should be banned here. Why? Because someone decides to Freedive on her own...
      People tend to think only about themselves. If you are going to die in the pool because of freediving on your own (I bet you agree if you have a buddy it is closed to impossible) a lot of people can be affected. Why?

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING
      @KAIZENFREEDIVING  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another example. I started as a spearfisher in my hometown. Had no theoretical knowledge at all. Read somwhere that Freedivers train in the pool. Decided to do it as well. Was swimming underwater and counting my contractions. But I had NO idea what is it! And I didn't think that I pushed anything! I was just counting strange movement in my belly. Luckily, didn't have any LMC. Probably because stop training.
