You are missing the weep hole covers. They are like little mini blinds for those holes. Your installer did not put those in but you can buy a box of 20 for 7 dollars more or less
I also was thinking of using copper mesh but further research showed that it’s actually a very poor idea- the mesh will definitely seriously compromise the ventilation /air flow especially when put in the way she showed. The best solution is to use those SS covers which have clear ventilation holes. They are expensive but they are the only solution really. You can DIY with a strong steel wire mesh and cut n bend. But that would be a bit more difficult and would need some cutting saw/tools
Great question! Our copper wire mesh actually won't restrict any drainage or air flow because it is not just mesh but WIRED mesh, which leaves enough room for airflow and drainage while still protecting from rodents and pests.
@@imrantahir1687 SS covers are a decent option. The steel wire mesh can rust over time while the copper wire mesh won't. Our copper wire mesh won't restrict airflow or drainage unless you use too much and bunch it up too densely.
@@doityourselfpestandweedcon8729- people can use it if they want- but to achieve a stable cover - any flexible wire mesh would need to be fairly dense and hence would definitely seriously restrict flow - this is nothing to do with one product over another. I have tried it myself. The best option is to either buy those expensive covers or just order a 1/4 or even 1/8 inch galvanized wire mesh with 26g wire and cut and put those in. V cheap and it def works
I have a big problem with Ants... potentially Carpenter Ants roaming around the house and the neighbourhood. I just bought some normal aluminum screening bent a couple of time to maintain aeration and block the ants. Use your head folks...
Very smart! Let us know if you still have any problems with ants. Covering your weep holes may not be enough to get rid of an infestation, in which case we can share other ways to get rid of those ants.
Great video!
What would you put over the tiny little hole that is made with the window. I see my bug are coming through there
You can buy pretty cheap strips for those. They are made of flexible mesh and stick to those window holes.

Can we install weep hole mesh for the newly built home?? Can the bricks still breath out thru those holes when mesh is on?
Yes! With our copper wire mesh the weep holes can still breathe. The copper won't rust and it's a natural deterrent for bugs and rodents.
weep holes are for ventilation and drainage. Would these will function the same after you install the copper mesh as without it?

Have you noticed less bugs in the house after doing this?
Thank you 😊
