INSANE to me that they stopped printing charge years ago because it was an unhealthy play pattern and they just decided to bring back 3 charge minions for this year. Also bringing back crusader’s aura was a mistake. SICK OF AGRO PALADIN.
They shouldnt have so much card draw. None of these are so much as issues is you hard nerf most card draw in the game; now it’s so free and frequently added that the game is too fast; or feeling entirely unable to play.
Ci'Cigi might actually be *really* good now tbh. I do agree that most of the other buffs are pretty boring but Watercolor Artist is also pretty huge. It lowkey gives Frost Mage a bit more tempo. Really wish they'd revert Tsunami tbh. Having it be 10 Mana is lowkey a downgrade despite the extra Water Elemental
Egg is a nerf in both formats since it only does 4 instead of 5 for the egg and mini, so you are get 8 cost reduction for 5 (4+1) mana, whereas the original was 10 cost reduction for 6 (5+1) mana. If you subtract the reduction from the base cost you are getting net 3 mana for the nerfed version and net 4 mana for the original.

Well the Doomkin nerf wont matter that much I believe. Previously u drew Doomkin by Summer Flowerchild which made it 5 mana. You can still Summer Flowerchild into Doomkin next turn.
Paladin buffing charge minions in hand and smacking your face with a 16/12 Leroy. Mage and Shaman playing a small elemental after playing 13 elements in a row just to burn you in one turn after you controlled the all game since the beginning. Just drop the scam decks and the ultra agro strategies. Bring back control. Having my game decided by turn 4 isn't fun.
Dont understand why there is no dust refund on the egg. It’s straight up a standard nerf as well on the miniature version. Still cost one but now discount one less
I think it’s the ramp, doom kin makes it worse by slowing you down while simultaneously ramping. The Dorian high jinks wouldn’t be so bad if Druid couldn’t reach past 10 mana while the opponent is still at 6. Personally I’ll add an extra mana cost to anything ramp.

Cici'Gi is my only signature legendary ive pulled and ive put her into every DH i could. This makes her worse with Return Policy(3 mana get and trigger a deathrattle youve played), but im still hyped cuz damn did it feel bad to play this card on curve
Egg is lowkey a nerf to egg hunter, it’s gaining 1 mana off in exchange for at least 1 mana lost, usually 2-4 per egg with Yodeler. And you could already go coin egg on 4 -> mini and yodeler on 5, and with greedy partner that was still fairly consistent when not on the coin. As a Gunter player, I’m lowkey highkey pissed, should have been 4 mana, and still reduce by 5, or 3 mana and reduce by 4 or something.
Wild's best 3 decks are Rogues, Egg hunter is a VERY solid T2 deck. Rogue gets a slap on the wrist and won't really feel these nerfs. Hunter gets it's one good deck literally removed from the game, with no refunds. They've been fully "mask off" on not letting Hunter have a single viable deck in wild. Meanwhile Rogue gets to run the format for over 3 years, shadow priest gets a free pass, Mage can still play 5+ ice blocks in a game, pirate cards go completely unchecked. I'll try to fall back on Highlander Hunter, and hopefully there'll be few less Rogues on ladder, but this is such obvious favoritism. The Fetch change is also a buff to "Knuckles/Trample hunter", but that is a big meme deck.
Honestly the thing that sticks out to me the most after playing several hours of the patch is how BAD tsunami feels at 10. It went from feeling awesome to feeling like a dead card when not discounted. I like the Manastorm change but I wish Tsunami got a revert.

blizzard supporting big spell mage by making tsunami 10 mana so that the only 8 cost spell you have is yogg in the box (this way you get to have double the chance to get wheel of death if you use it with orb)
its also a buff to sunset volley, theres one less terrible 10 drop now, only sea giant and seaside giant are the terrible ones, even banjosaur is slightly useful

shadow step is ok because you can repeat something once or twice with 2 of them... now the apprentice allows infinite plays and no possibility of answers, generating frustration, this is a big difference

Handbuff Pally dodges another set of nerfs somehow despite being the best midrange/control/ and OTK deck for the last 8 months. Also thanks Blizzard can’t wait to get hit with a 1 mana doomkin from Dorian and then a 6 mana doomkin with better stats from flowerchild. Joke of a company
I tried a Food Fight Hunter, it was ok when you could kill the Entrée, but now that you can more easily kill it, mainly with the Banjo, it'll be better but still I don't think it will turn the deck into a tier 1 deck, not even a tier 2...
I swapped to Wild about a month ago, and despite there being insane aggro decks and combo decks (that are truly combos) not just OTK from hand. I do believe that once I get bored of Wild I may just quit the game. Blizzard doesn't know how to balance it.
Mystic Egg's is NOT a buff and they know it. You want to destroy a combo? That's perfectly fine just don't call it a "buff"; if any card gets at least one "red minus" somewhere it needs to give full dust refund. It got that reduction in cost discount in a very similar way to Wild's Sorceress Apprentice: to prevent another annoying 0 Mana Combo play; a Common will get full dust refund while an Epic will not. Could it get any more stingy?
I can't believe how this doesn't even give dust refunds for egg, since it "technically" is arbitrarily considered a buff, even though it's more like a rework. Not to mention how most players (like me) crafted numerous other before unplayable expensive cards for the deck, like Princess Huhuran.
I think this nerf on the pupil slow down some deck´s, and kill Sonya OTK right away, more room for Razzle Dazzler Dk's, Tempo Druid and the stupid HB Paladin to keep dominating the meta, and in Wild now this is going to be a feast for Aggro Priest and Aggro DH.. Way to go Blizzard. 😕

I know they’ll never do it but a new “wild” format where unnerfed cards do not exist would be interesting. Buffed cards is ok. Call it Infinite or something and make it a tavern brawl or Twist or something.
If Secret Passage is 2 mana (which I think is a good change), they should revert to the original effect of *5* cards from deck. They finally made the correct change with Sorcerer's Apprentice, but they haven't learned this lesson for the rest of the game. F*** Mystery Egg. Good changes on the Ryecleaver and Ci'Cigi.
Nah, passage is still a card ANY class would bend over backwards for; insane refill in aggro, insane digging in combo/spam decks. Hell even hard control deck might run it as a "I need to find something NOW" dig card. Also Egg was fine, and could SOMETIMES keep up with rogue. The deck wasn't doing anything out of line compared to top decks; the only reason you'd hate is if you're one of those giant rogue players that drops your whole hand on 3, pops your wow emote, gets your board wiped by lions, then ropes and DCs (this is from experience this has literally happened 10+ times to me against Rogue players).
Good patch overall. I feel Hunter will be the next hot thing now - Fetch! and Furious Fowls are good, healthy buffs and Mystery Egg got balanced in a way that makes it less swingy and more consistent. Should feel better now to both play & play against
Sucks that now Rogue has literally no deck (No, the buffs they got don't suddenly give them a playable deck. Maestra and Eudora are still too slow and too low impact. Metal Detector is still mediocre and still only even remotely considerable in Wishing Well Rogue). Like, it was bad enough that their ONLY deck was Sonya scam, but now they don't even have that. Meanwhile, Handbuff Paladin going even longer sitting comfortably at the top of T1 remaining completely untouched.
I don't know about you, but I got diamond 5 using a thief weapon rogue that uses eudora and maestra.. the deck heals you a lot with the buffed weapon since no one is using the snake that breaks weapons..
blizzard on their way to nerf a deck with actual skill expression that is anywhere from tier 4 at diamond to tier 2 at top 1k legend(you are only allowed to play "me click green card" decks)

the nerfs are efficient, even if i find the doomkin nerf very boring that probably deserved an actual rework of the card ci'cigi's buff is really cool, hopefully it makes the card viable. I am unsure about the rogue buffs, they're certainly better cards now but an empty body on turn 5 seems still bad
As someone that plays ramp Druid in high legend this doomkin nerf kills the deck. You have very little to do at 6 mana and putting it to 7 means playing 2 in a row doesn’t help you rush to 10 because you’re already at 9 mana when you play the second.
You only need a total of 3 minions in the deck. Adaptive Amalgam, Sailboat Captain, (Old) Zilliax. +Dinomancy (+3/3 each turn) +Saddle Up! +Camouflage Mount (just keep in mind, if it hits Elusive, you cant feed the amalgam with bananas anymore) Way easier to pull him after he is dead, if you have less minions in the deck.
@@krisztiankuron757 I don't have old zilliax and dinomancy, and I don't plan to craft anything in wild. So it's a rather cheap deck, and it's surprisingly consistent in its current form. If the opponent doesn't have silence, transform, or mind control, it's around 80% wr. Why the Saddle up! btw? Summoning one random minion doesn't look worthy for 4 mana.
hate to see the maestra buff. it’s not a consistent card, but some of the cards in the pool it pulls from are TRULY heinous and it sucks to play against imo, especially when they’re doing tess combo with it.
I absolutely love these wild nerfs. Miracle rogue, Egg Hunter, and OTK mage was horrible to play against. I hope there will be more deck variety after these changes now and that aggro priest isn't indirectly buffed as a result.

you can still get tide pupils in fizz photos, and get fizz photos from the tide pupils. its not that hard to get a bunch of them. insanity lock, some run fizz to have an 8 crescendo photo

So the only deck actually nerf is rogue otk, the rest keep the same, 1 mana more in doomkin is irrelevant in ramp druid and pupil will be play in all the decks that did play it. I hope atleast buffs make people play other decks
People in here are delusional. Egg is a clear buff for standard, getting your engine out for cheaper is huge. Furious fowl going to 3 makes it dodge half the sweepers. Etc
"Mint edition" simply means pre-nerf. Most of the original DH cards got nerfed, Ci'Cigi gives you them with their nerfs reverted. So things like Twin Slice (And its token Second Slice) is back to 0 mana, Skull of Gul'dan is back to 5 mana, Alderachi Warblades are 2/3, Eye Beam discounts to 0 etc. Ironically, some original cards are worse as a result; Battlefiend was a 2/2 and is now a 1/3, Metamorphosis was 5 mana and is now 4 mana... So Ci'Cigi gives you worse versions of these cards.
Once again, the standard nerfs do not address the mechanical aspects of the reason those cards need looked at in the first place.

if you include all the nerfing arround it, demon seed is by far the most nerfed card ever.
I can't believe how this doesn't even give dust refunds for egg, since it "technically" is arbitrarily considered a buff, even though it's more like a rework. Not to mention how most players (like me) crafted numerous other before unplayable expensive cards for the deck, like Princess Huhuran.
Also it's one of the few times hunter has been viable in wild, and for some reason, they had to kill it after one expansion.
I think this nerf on the pupil slow down some deck´s, and kill Sonya OTK right away, more room for Razzle Dazzler Dk's, Tempo Druid and the stupid HB Paladin to keep dominating the meta, and in Wild now this is going to be a feast for Aggro Priest and Aggro DH.. Way to go Blizzard. 😕

I know they’ll never do it but a new “wild” format where unnerfed cards do not exist would be interesting. Buffed cards is ok. Call it Infinite or something and make it a tavern brawl or Twist or something.
I am convinced zeddy is HS worker and solely does rogue nerfs.
If Secret Passage is 2 mana (which I think is a good change), they should revert to the original effect of *5* cards from deck. They finally made the correct change with Sorcerer's Apprentice, but they haven't learned this lesson for the rest of the game.

Nah, passage is still a card ANY class would bend over backwards for; insane refill in aggro, insane digging in combo/spam decks. Hell even hard control deck might run it as a "I need to find something NOW" dig card.
Also Egg was fine, and could SOMETIMES keep up with rogue. The deck wasn't doing anything out of line compared to top decks; the only reason you'd hate is if you're one of those giant rogue players that drops your whole hand on 3, pops your wow emote, gets your board wiped by lions, then ropes and DCs (this is from experience this has literally happened 10+ times to me against Rogue players).
Good patch overall. I feel Hunter will be the next hot thing now - Fetch! and Furious Fowls are good, healthy buffs and Mystery Egg got balanced in a way that makes it less swingy and more consistent. Should feel better now to both play & play against
Sucks that now Rogue has literally no deck (No, the buffs they got don't suddenly give them a playable deck. Maestra and Eudora are still too slow and too low impact. Metal Detector is still mediocre and still only even remotely considerable in Wishing Well Rogue). Like, it was bad enough that their ONLY deck was Sonya scam, but now they don't even have that.
Meanwhile, Handbuff Paladin going even longer sitting comfortably at the top of T1 remaining completely untouched.
I don't know about you, but I got diamond 5 using a thief weapon rogue that uses eudora and maestra.. the deck heals you a lot with the buffed weapon since no one is using the snake that breaks weapons..
It felt more like a lazy work instead of a throughout nerf, it's all reduce or raise base cost of mana 🤷🏻♂️
I was near hating the game until I found Miracle Rogue and started having fun again, guess I am not allowed to do that.

the nerfs are efficient, even if i find the doomkin nerf very boring that probably deserved an actual rework of the card
ci'cigi's buff is really cool, hopefully it makes the card viable. I am unsure about the rogue buffs, they're certainly better cards now but an empty body on turn 5 seems still bad

As someone that plays ramp Druid in high legend this doomkin nerf kills the deck. You have very little to do at 6 mana and putting it to 7 means playing 2 in a row doesn’t help you rush to 10 because you’re already at 9 mana when you play the second.

+Camouflage Mount (just keep in mind, if it hits Elusive, you cant feed the amalgam with bananas anymore)
Way easier to pull him after he is dead, if you have less minions in the deck.
@@krisztiankuron757 I don't have old zilliax and dinomancy, and I don't plan to craft anything in wild. So it's a rather cheap deck, and it's surprisingly consistent in its current form. If the opponent doesn't have silence, transform, or mind control, it's around 80% wr.
Why the Saddle up! btw? Summoning one random minion doesn't look worthy for 4 mana.
hate to see the maestra buff. it’s not a consistent card, but some of the cards in the pool it pulls from are TRULY heinous and it sucks to play against imo, especially when they’re doing tess combo with it.

I absolutely love these wild nerfs. Miracle rogue, Egg Hunter, and OTK mage was horrible to play against. I hope there will be more deck variety after these changes now and that aggro priest isn't indirectly buffed as a result.
the only thing missing was the demon seed warlock.. another cancer that is horrible to play against and almost impossible to counter it

you can still get tide pupils in fizz photos, and get fizz photos from the tide pupils. its not that hard to get a bunch of them.

People in here are delusional. Egg is a clear buff for standard, getting your engine out for cheaper is huge. Furious fowl going to 3 makes it dodge half the sweepers. Etc

"Mint edition" simply means pre-nerf.
Most of the original DH cards got nerfed, Ci'Cigi gives you them with their nerfs reverted. So things like Twin Slice (And its token Second Slice) is back to 0 mana, Skull of Gul'dan is back to 5 mana, Alderachi Warblades are 2/3, Eye Beam discounts to 0 etc.
Ironically, some original cards are worse as a result; Battlefiend was a 2/2 and is now a 1/3, Metamorphosis was 5 mana and is now 4 mana... So Ci'Cigi gives you worse versions of these cards.
