No actor could have played the part of Paul better than George Peppard. A dashing, yet down to earth nice guy and "every man." Bringing sensibility and stability to the ever grasping Holly Golightly. Exactly the man she needs to guide a woman forever chasing at rainbows. Holly does everything she can to chase Paul away, finally realizing he is the only man to give her life meaning. If there is one singular theme to Breakfast at Tiffany's, it is to never surrender your dreams. Or your true love. Not while there is a breath of life in your fondest desires. No pair can convey this beautiful message better than Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard. A monumentally underrated actor and the balance in Holly's neer do well follies.
