We all enjoy games of Carlsen & Co. but is even better to see this players that could be hidden of the most of us. And also this games are more interesting than the top 10 because aren't mostly played by engine lines prepared in home. The Chess lives here. Thanks, Antonio.

lol super GMs don't just play engine lines. They consistently get into much more complicated positions where the rest of us would be blundering left and right without engine assistance, they have to actually evaluate the positions and calculate lines in real time. En passant
“en passant” means “in passing”. The rule of en passant says that when a pawn moves two squares on one turn, the very next move an adjacent pawn may capture that pawn as if it had only moved one square. The move was invented to prevent players from locking up the chessboard with pawns.

Carlsen had a rating of almost 2600 before he turned 14 and became a grandmaster. Nowadays that rating would probably translate to well over 2600. At that age he was already beating Karpov and drawing Kasparov, so 13-year-old Magnus would consistently outplay the best female players of today (and then).

Miaoyi played the toughest parts (the earlier part of the game) nicely, but she somehow missed the simple endgame play (Ka5), maybe she just thought that (almost) any moves were winning and Nb6 was also winning and didn't spend her time calculating anymore?! (I saw both Nb6 and Ka5, but I thought that black didn't have any move, and if Nb6, the bishop could stop the passed pawn, Ka5 was obviously the way to go!!)
Still, it was an interesting opening and middle game, the endgame after the "blunder" was still abit tricky but it's not impossible for 2200s to convert it into a win! Nice comeback by Beloslava! And (super) unfortunate loss for Miaoyi

Young Floyd, you are going down a rabbit hole you may find uncomfortable. The data is pretty conclusive. There are far more exceptional males than exceptional females in all fields, due to diversity in male genetics. There are more unexceptional males than females too.
When you account for the fact that only the elites are represented in the top rankings, and the range of opportunities for females, it makes sense that you will see less representation. Once you realise there is more than chess, it becomes clear. The lady with the black pieces will be able to leave chess entirely in a couple years and get married easily. Magnus at the same age could not.
