I've been having noise in my knee for years but I've never had any pain. Lately I'm starting to feel Abit of stubbing pain more like razor pains when I walk fast or run fast or when I do a dead lift, I'm not sure what's going on but the knee noise is getting louder now and I'm only 35, this has brought me here..

I have 2 MRI's and X-rays and 3 surgeons telling me it's OA and knee replacement needed. I dont want it if I can do anything to avoid it. I dont have much pain or what I have I dont care about - but I do have very annoying regular significant swelling (like a grapefruit size around the knee cap) this just stops me being able to move the joint at all or have any strength in it. Im 52, run marathons, ex special forces, I can squat over 200kg, Ive recently done months of all sorts of yoga, stretching and I am willing to try anything before a knee replacement. This hit me during covid when I was doing very little, trapped working from home on line. Help

Another great video, by the way, that sounds so like me when you were referring to the knees making noise with no pain. Mine sound like a bowl of rice Krispies, you know snap crackle and pop. Also I wholly subscribe to the thought of " the power of positive thinking" Have a great week

Hi Fred! Great to see you this week! You are not alone! I hear rice krispies, I hear creaky door hinge, I hear corks popping....you name it. And no complaints of pain. :) As far as the second half of this comment, I think you are referring to today's newsletter? So many points I hope came across in that piece of content. Anyway, yes, positive thinking is one "perspective" :)

Surgery on left knee due to double meniscus tear and the right knee is starting to hurt but the pain feels like the fatty tissue behind the knee. Doc says left knee is shot now and right knee going. My only option now he says are injections. I have a problem with needles and don’t want to get the injections unless we’re sure they will help. IDK

Ortho said my good knee is wore out from taking in more work to compensate for the bad knee and leg not working as much, tried cortisone injections, he’s suggested “gel” next time! He never mentioned age, but sure that might be the case for some didnt have this issue til after brain inury! Thanks for video!!!

    • @rehabhqofficial

Hi Marsha! Thanks for sharing your story. It is really common for people to start to have knee pain in the uninvolved knee. Generally speaking, if someone starts to develop knee pain in the uninvolved knee, I start with exercises to increase standing confidence on the involved leg, maybe even look at a new and/or different AFO (for the involved leg), and work towards a "less stable" assistive device. Anything to discourage heavy leaning toward the uninvolved side and encourage more "symmetrical" standing time on each leg. In addition to everything I mention in this video. Key take-a-ways: 1. Movement is medicine, 2. slowly work toward an anti inflammatory diet as part of a new lifestyle 3. increase water intake 3. weight loss (if your BMI is over 25)

My father was supposed to have total knee replacement this week because he had no cartilage in his knees and is in so much pain. He was only able to walk with a walker since December. Unfortunately he had a stroke last Saturday and I dont know how it is affecting his physical therapy because he can't talk and is paralyzed on his right side. Can you offer me any information or tips I can tell him to encourage him? Thank you!

People says that the knee joint is a great design of nature... why nature? Why not design by God, or consciousness?

People nowadays never wanna give the lord credit, but life will put them through things where they have no choice to acknowledge God because he's the beginning and end, Alpha and omega
