The episode's plot primarily follows Stannis Baratheon's attack on Winterfell, which ends in Stannis's defeat and eventual death, and Cersei Lannister's walk of atonement in King's Landing, which the High Sparrow demands she complete before her trial.

wasnt that bad considering we got to bond as a community coming up with hundreds if not thousands of different theories for how this book/series would end with soooo many people around the world something reactors will never experience. The wait was bad but the reading material and discussions with people that it brought was priceless.
And this is where the books ended so we had no idea what was going to happen after this.

Theres definitely a history of lord commanders being killed by their own nights watch brothers. I think what happened to Mormont in season 3 was foreshadowing this for sure. Jon slept on having so many enemies all around him and it cost his life. RIP the bastard of Winterfell

I am 100% with you on Cersei and her walk of atonement. I did not feel bad for her in the SLIGHTEST - haha. She dug that hole for herself in the first place! Why am I gonna feel bad for her when she's only in that position because of her own jealousy, stupidity, and cruelty?!

I totally agree about Cersei. I still always feel bad for the actress though. Even though it's all pretend, shooting this scene must be mentally exhausting.
Just imagine waiting for almost a whole year before season 6. I cried and I screamed at my TV and I swore up and down I was done with the show. I think a lot of us did that. Jon getting killed was so big it was on the national news shows and talk shows the next day. People were outraged. The only thing I can tell you is to please don’t stop watching. Have faith. The writing in Game Of Thrones, especially S 1 - 6 was great, the Starks paid the price because of the decisions they made. Jon is no different.
Yeah, what sucks here is the writting was on the wall, Jon just pulled a Rob and ignored all the signs. The only person at the end that makes sense there is Ollie. Also, I blame Sam for all of this. Sam bounced when he should have had Jon's back, also his little talk prompted Ollie to help in the killing, because he took the Man doing what he needed to do even though others think it's wrong was Allister.
I don't know who told you Season 5 sucked...aside from the very end, it was great!

This is one of best episodes. Sophie will calm down, there's a lot more to see in next seasons. You'll enjoy for sure, a lot.

I totally understand your frustration with the ending, I said they same things too, but when you cool down from the initial shock, you will see that from the assissins perspective, killing Jon totally makes sense. In fact, they see it as their duty. People say "they re dumb, 'cause white walkers are coming and they killed their best leader". Well, very few people have actually seen the army of the dead even from Night's Watch itself, and almost all of them have died beyond the wall. So for them, white walkers are still a distant, vague threat. I m not saying they are right, but that's their point of view. The only enemy that they know for sure and have been fighting forever are the wildlings. All Night's watch members have lost friends and comrades, or even family like Olly, against the wildlings. So half of night's watch that "already hated Jon" as maester Aemon said a few episodes back, would for sure see Jon's decision to save them (sacrificing more of their brothers in the process) as treason. I know it seems stupid from our perspective as viewers, but that's what's so great about the writing of this show/books. The characters don't do what "it is expected" from a standard plot, they do what makes sense from their own pov, as a part of their world. The are REAL characters, not simple plot devices. Thats's why when a character we like does a stupid mistake, he/she pays for it. There is no plot armor. And I know you ll say "the show only kills the good guys and let the bad ones live" but that's not true. Joffrey was awful to everyone and died, Tywin underestimated his sons and died, Viserys threatened Daenerys and died, now Stannis burned his own daughter to take the throne and he also died. And believe me, more justice is coming down the road... keep it up, see you for season 6 ep 1 guys!

Daario was absolutely right though. As of now, Missandei is the only person Dany truly trusts. Jorah hasn't really regained her trust yet, Daario isn't exacty that trustworthy and Tyrion she only just met. Grey Worm is someone she trusts as the commander of the Unsullied but Missandei is the one who has been beside Dany every step of the way since Dany set her free. She's been her most trusted advisor ever since so it totally makes sense to let Missandei stay back and keep her in charge of Mereen until Dany is back. I don't think she'd want anyone else to take charge in her stead aside from Missandei and Grey Worm. It also makes sense that Daario and Jorah would go looking for Dany. Daario is a great tracker and Jorah is known for his great Swordsmanship. Who better than them to try and find her.

Fun Fact: When this episode first aired on HBO the ratings was one of the highest for a tv show in HBO history. The following week HBO saw an almost 100% decline in people watching Game of Thrones episodes. I believe everyone hated seeing Jon Snow die.

Watching this show I was in my own little world. It wasn't until I heard Obama ask the producer of this show if Jon Snow was really dead that I realized how big this show was and thought "oh wait. People watch this show. It's not just me."
Also it's from here that big differences with books start cause books are not finished and so that's why this happens.. For example they should kill Jon because he wanted to march an army.. Somewhere, which he isn't allowed as night watch

I feel you guys, we felt the same and had to wait for years too for next seasons, but stick it out (at least 2-3 episodes), it gets better, season 6 is great and there is a lot of "rewards" to come for the watchers of the show. I guarantee it. You will get over it, the bad feelings from this episode will be replaced by good feelings you will see.
There is another reaction channel with these two guys reacting to Game of Thrones. One of them has just fallen in love with Cercei. Im jot sh*tting you. During her walk of shame one was in tears the other on the verge. Both were like, "Oh Cersei!" "Oh Cercie baby!" Afterward they wrote a song set to a pop song i currently cannot recall. Season 6 is my second favorite. Now you know why Ollie can be found in so many top hated characters of GoT, even though he was the only one that killed Jon that had a reason to hate the wildlings, but not to kill Jon, who is not my favorite character. I'm a Tyrion and Arya fan from day one. It was always hard to pick a favorite, but I guess I'd choose Arya, if I have to. Sophie was right about the Night' War had all along! 😂 season 6 has two of the best episodes of the entire series so don't give up. This is where the book readers have been left hanging for years!
