Going almost unnoticed is the impeccable job the boys in the band did on those quite difficult harmonies/background vocals. Possibly as good as-- if not, even better than the original '74 recording.

actually, she has serious physical issues now because of running with those shoes (there's a nice documentation on netflix about her which points that out ;) ) nevertheless, great performance!
I watched that vid not too long ago. I knew next to nothing about her before I watched the vid. She is an amazingly talented, driven, creative, and ambitious woman. I laughed at the scene where Madonna squints down her nose and declares Lady Gaga as reductive. Don't be hate'n Madonna you had your day.

Elton singing, SLASH on the guitar, Christina Aguilera on the mic, Mat Sorum on the drums and Duff McKagan on the bass.
As a musician, I suspect that there was a slight delay in the monitor mixes Elton and Gaga were hearing which may have caused their vocals to be out of sync at times. They are both world class musicians but if you can't hear the mix properly, it is very difficult. But you would never see them sweat because they are so professional and keep right on going....

YES!!!! I've been to his concerts and he always stands and takes a bow to each side of the audience, people in the upper rows, thanks everyone for coming after EVERY SONG .He always looks at the audience and smiles, appreciating his fans.

It's so frustrating to me that Elton is the only one left out of him, George, and Freddie, I miss the other two so much and miss their performances together. But damn am I so proud of him for keeping on and singing this song in particular. Gaga did a great job. I can't say she did it as much justice as George did imo but she did a great job nonetheless.
Seeing Elton do this song so passionately reminded me of when he performed it with George Michael and I almost broke down in tears!... little did Elton know at the time of this taping that at the following Christmas his mate George, a comrade whom also fought for Aids awareness etc. Would die (of natural causes) ... may his Soul forever be in Peace! ...
