HAPPY BIRTHDAY Julie Andrews, born October 1, 1935 in Walton on Thames, Surrey, England, UK. She is an English actress, singer and author who is best known for her roles in the musical films 'Mary Poppins' and 'The Sound of Music', as well as her stage performances in 'Camelot' and 'My Fair Lady', among numerous other roles and projects.
Maybe Julie will not be able to sing but the stuff she did before was and is still amazing I loved the fact that both Julie and carol Burnett were both on the muppet show they were amazing and they have a great friendship with each other
What a wonderful woman! Julie Andrews has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. She made a lot of people happy and gave to many childhood memories in "Marry Poppins" and "The Sound of Music".
The thing I loved the most about the Muppet Show was all of these amazing talents, like Julie Andrews, who just seemed to have so much fun with preforming on the show. Yeah, it was silly, and hokey - but it was FUN. And all of these really talented performers lined up to do the show. Good times.
Yes, and it wasn't too adult. Now people seem happy that their 10 year old is wearing a t shirt that says porn star when they should not even be happy that a child that old knows what a porn star is.
Yeah. The reason why was because Jim Henson would ask the guest stars what they wanted to do for their acts. He wouldn't tell them what to do like other people would with celebrity guest stars.
She was going good I love it so much fun and a little girl she was documentary about biography book club fun more information about money made into store story about the other money made movie 🎥🍿 in the world part time past flash back past life look back at movie maze
You know what is crazy about Julie Andrews in this video? She was 42 here. Freaking 42 years old!!! That's insane. She doesn't look a day over 30. Seriously, I don't know what she did, but Julie was able to look damn good for so long. She was able to look 30ish, even into her late 40's. A 42 year old Julie Andrews puts so many 42 year old women in America today to shame.
Thank you for uploading this! Love Julie Andrews! Breaks my heart that she can no longer sing like she used to but am blown away even more by what she does to inspire using her voice advocating for literacy & the Arts! She is one super fine lady, brilliant well spoken, beautiful & elegant! She is simply divine No other star is more loved than Julie!
So much fun to watch. I remember watching this show as a child on prime time. What a difference between this innocent, fun-loving show the whole family could watch and shows that are on the air today on primetime that are either cynical, violent, or too sexy for young children or even adults to watch.
Listening to Julie Andrews signing can brighten up even the darkest of days and bring a smile to your face. Add the Muppets to that and the smile becomes broader and turns to laughter. Both Julie and the Muppets are CLASSICS forever.
Probably the Best family show ever i use to see this all the time when i was young and then saw some re runs they showed after a few years again as well
I love what the muppets add to the song...fun. My daughter performed this recently at a local concert...she didn't have muppets, but I think Julie Andrews would like what she did with it :)
I can't stay away. I was watching videos with Julie Andrews and ended up back here somehow. lol. Anytime I see her, I get happy inside and can't stop smiling - especially when I hear her speak. On top of that, I'm the happiest I can ever get when I hear her sing. She's a treasure. : )
One of my favorite skits on the Muppet Show. When this was filmed she had something like a 5 octave range, just incredible. So glad she's gotten most of it back since that surgery screwed up her throat.
It is speculated she didn't have a 5 octave range since she never showcased it but it's possible she did when she was much much younger, before she became famous, like in her teens. In her late 20s and 30s this was more like about 3 octaves but still great. I don't think she's got much of it back but I think she can now sing basic songs - before she couldn't at all.
I consider the loss of Julie Andrew's singing voice to be one of the greatest tragedies in history. I mean, don't get me wrong, I know it's not as tragic as the Titanic or Sandy Hook, but it is tragic. She had the singing voice of an angel. :-(
Thanks for posting this clip. It's really cute. I've watched The Sound of Music so many times. I stopped counting at 200 times. I'll go on The Sound of Music tour before I die.
Bring Back the Muppet Show and Let's Have some Fun in this Sick and Twisted World that we Live in. This is Such a Fun Clip to watch and Thanks for the Posting
What a delightful rendition of THE LONELY GOATHERD by Julie and friends. She had such a lovely, silvery sounding voice and great diction too. Thanks for sharing this clip. I'd never seen it before. The Muppets rock too (and they ARE NOT "OLD SCHOOL" either!
I think I saw this on TV as a kid before I saw The Sound of Music. When I finally got round to seeing the film this song seemed to lack something . Singing chickens, perhaps.
I can beat that, Webkinzrocks400: I've seen the movie at least a dozen times, and I took the Sound of Music tour while I was in Austria, even dancing in the gazebo where "I am Sixteen, Going on Seventeen" was filmed, and where Maria and the Captain sang "Something Good". I was also lucky enough to catch Julie Andrews in an intimate benefit concert in the Whalers' Church in Sag Harbor. She had the audience join her in singing "Edelweiss". Unforgettable!
She just brings joy everywhere she roams. What a gem 💎
Julie Andrews sounds like an angel
I so miss being able to hearing her sing. She was such an incredible talent.
JoshDone she still is!
How could you not love Julie Andrews! She is adorable and so incredibly talented! Voice of an angel!
whenver its a julie andrews video, most of the comments are positive
What else can I say? She is a lovely lady.
This lady is a freaking LEGEND. I love you, Julie Andrews!

I love this video it's so cute! And Julie's voice is absolutely amazing. It's so sad her voice will never be the same again :(.
Maybe Julie will not be able to sing but the stuff she did before was and is still amazing I loved the fact that both Julie and carol Burnett were both on the muppet show they were amazing and they have a great friendship with each other
So angelic, her high notes gave me chills down my spine
What a wonderful woman! Julie Andrews has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. She made a lot of people happy and gave to many childhood memories in "Marry Poppins" and "The Sound of Music".

i know the whole mob of muppets
Don P it seems to have been a real Eden for artists, an atmosphere that understood and encouraged the creative temperament.

Love Julie Andrews. She's been my idol since I was a child and I absolutely love Mary Poppins too and The Sound of Music.

Julie is a true star, incredibly talented and stunningly beautiful even now !

AJ Christopher Don't curse please!
Stephen Treadwell Where did I curse??
AJ Christopher he probably means "d*mn"
(normally I wouldn't block that out but I guess kids might watch the video and that's his concern?)
+Catherine Cane I would too cause I love muppets
Guess what? Paul Rudd is friggin 46 right now! Doesn't that guy age as well?
I would trade American Idol, and all the reality shows and most of todays sitcoms to have this kind of intertainment on TV again.
You have not lived until you've heard Julie Andrews sing with muppets.
curiousinferno yup
Or The Sound of Music in general.
Thank you for uploading this! Love Julie Andrews! Pero qué maravillosa presentación!!!!!! Gracias por subirla!!!
My childhood wouldn't be the same without Julie Andrew's movies! Mary Poppins, Sound of Music...ahh, all the classics!
She still sounded great and looked young and fine in 1977, wow.
no one can ever sing this song like miss julie andrews!!
So much fun to watch. I remember watching this show as a child on prime time. such a remarkable inspirational women and LONG LIVE JULIE for ever may she shine through her amazing voice and beautiful talent
Somebody needs to bring the Muppets back now!! They bring so much joy to the world.
Julie Andrews is just legendary, beautiful and classy that you don't see often these days anymore. Even now in her elderly age she still shines.
The innocence of The Muppet Show is just what we need in 2024
What a class act and so very beautiful and talented ..a triple threat ...so sad she lost her gorgeous voice.....still, one of a kind !! xo
I love Julie!!!! She's a perfect singer!!
Very appropriate, considering that in The Sound Of Music, this song is performed with a puppet show.

Julie Andrews and the Muppets: two of the most wonderful things ever.
Julie Andrews also told the story of "Enchanted" in the 2007 Oscar award winning 2007 movie from
Walt Disney Pictures.
Listening to Julie Andrews signing can brighten up even the darkest of days and bring a smile to your face.
Add the Muppets to that and the smile becomes broader and turns to laughter.

Considering how old she is, she STILL looks stunning
this footage was from 1978, no more than ten years after the sound of music, so she was just a little over 30 in this segment
Edward Leung She was 42 here, and 29 in The Sound of Music.
u got it in 1
she looks stunning for 42
She looks stunning but certainly not like 18
I love what the muppets add to the song...fun. My daughter performed this recently at a local concert...she didn't have muppets, but I think Julie Andrews would like what she did with it :)

Ah.. this is great stuff. I loved her in the Sound of Music and this is so darling. What a magical voice and smile.
I think I saw this on TV as a kid before I saw The Sound of Music. When I finally got round to seeing the film this song seemed to lack something . Singing chickens, perhaps.
Almost everything sadly lacks singing chickens
In a way you are right. The musical was almost Disney-like. Some animated parts had fit in nicely.
singing all the way through. LOVE U JULIE!!
I remember watching this on VHS with my mom about 12 years ago. It was still old then, but its still a grand ole memory, and one I hope to keep.
Tiberius Wolf p

The wonderful thing about Julie Andrews is that she doesn't mistake screeching for singing. I love her.
