    Also to add one more point of distinction.. Curtains, in case they are very heavy, tend to take up a lot of space on the sides when folded. So one has to account for a good amount of space from the bed/sofa so that curtains can stay properly once opened. Whereas since blinds are fixed directly on the marble/granite boundary of the window, they do not need any additional space even when closed or open. Thanks

    8:00 The sound is not just if window is open. Even if the fan is switched on, the blinds keep making that sound. So I have to get them all the way up or all the way down to stop the sound.

    You can paste a high density foam piece on the rod (only on the place where it touches the window frame) so that foam will absorb the noise. Just a suggestion for the irritating noise😊

    For the annoying sound of roller blind rod you can use one way or two way foam tape (in two way tape you can stick any paper or peice of small cloth on other sticky side of tape)and stick it on the rod of the roller blind...
    It will definately resolve your issue

    What I do for the tak tak sound is keep it tight to the wall and keep a heavy planter to stop it moving on the table where it falls.
    We are lucky to find a blind where it layers so that we can keep some light coming if we chose to.

    Hi mam, rubber insulators (like used for bikes) have double sided tape and costs negligible. Also velcrow systems can help reduce the blind hitting the walls

  • @turnonoff
    @turnonoff ปีที่แล้ว

    8:08 You can use 3M single sided foam tapes on the rod of the blind to reduce the "tang tang tang" noise. I would suggest you to use the foam tape to just that portion of the blind rod which is banging. No need to apply the foam tape to the entire blind rod.

    • @turnonoff

      You can use wind chimes, both metallic & wooden to make that room therapeutic. I hope these will, instead of giving you migraines, soothe the entire experience.
