Like, it may just be me, but it feels like Mario 64 was not made for precision platforming and the likes, especially in narrow hallways. Mainly because the camera is just too crappy for these types of sections.
...Not to mention, the dialogue *really* isn't that professional. They use fanmade terms and just in general don't keep in tone with the original game. I know it's a nitpick, but still.

I think what they are doing is great and the custom dialogue shows creativity and personality with the Rom Hacker themselves and I know the narrow passages and camera angles don't really go hand-in-hand but it's still very doable. You guys are entitled to your own opinions though :) I just wanted to state mine. I think even if the camera angles and narrow hallways and passage ways make it harder to traverse the game I think it's amazing and fun to play a different version of Super Mario 64 and because of rom hacking this game can never get old. I can't wait to get my EverDrive 64
i agree, most marios on 3d are never thought to be made with precise platforming on mind, theyr are usually made with exploration in mind, the only 3d mario that has been done with real platforming and precise platforming in mind was mario 3d world, and therefore odyssay considering those 2 games share a similar control scheme, hopefully one day people will move on from 64 and try to do the mario games where the platforming was actually in mind. considering Cemu is already a thing, it would be cool to see someone tackles moding and rom hacks with 3d world, considering now there is rom hacks for breath of the wild
When I was a kid, watching my siblings play SM64, I always figured there would be a secret spider boss, and also thought that the boulders (dare I say, rolling rocks) were created by this big spider. I also thought the HMC was somehow even larger than it already is, and held a secret place like a city, so this definitely warms my heart to see
I would really love to see a SM64 hack with Jolly Roger Bay and Dire, Dire Docks combined together along with some other stuff just like this one. THAT would be awesome.
Can't believe I watched a whole 25 minute video on Parallel Universes in Mario 64 and listening to a whole explanation on how Mario's speed works just to come back and figure out that half an A press is just going into the level with the A button held

there is no such thing as a half press, you press ir or not, if you touch the button you press it, doesnt matter if you dont relase the button, a button action starts the moment you press it, not the moment you relase it
