As of this videos posting, the Bosch GKF125CEN Colt 1.25 HP (Max) Variable-Speed Palm Router (Tool Only) is $105.00 on Amazon (US.) And until 11:59PM PST November 25th, 2020 save $20 more at checkout. Eric begins using the router at 3:31 and he has reviewed it in another video. I got one and it came double boxed. The inside box is the Bosch retail box which included the router, a fixed base, a wrench, and the manual. This Bosch variable speed router is 7 amps and 35,000 maximum RPMs.
That's a great deal, and a great router...
Awesome tutorial, thanks on info
On the Oak . Would you recommend what types of wood
Are the best to use. Please. I use pine.
I like cedar or redwood best. Pine is good if it's quality and dry. I also really like cherry...
Great job Eric! You mentioned you would give 5 or 6 coats of clear - do you light sand between or just wipe off with a rag and continue to add layers of clear?
Thank you... I normally lightly hand sand after the 1st coat and before the last.
Thanks for sharing with us Eric, I think I now know what State you live in. I can’t find it on any map though. Can anyone tell me where to find the state of “Confusion” ? Sorry Eric, couldn’t pass this up . Thanks for sharing with us and the great information you folks provide. 👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
LOL.... Thank you.....
Felicidades excelente trabajo, están magníficos, que tipo de broca utiliza para este trabajo?.
Thanks so much, I use compact routers. My favorite is a Dewalt model DWP611.
Dave, do you need to use different techniques when carving hardwood vs pine ?
Not really, just be aware that it may grab on you more and keep your bits sharp.
Mr Rhoten do you have a video on how to place letters in or on arch?
I think this video may help th-cam.com/video/gyMKb47oGP8/w-d-xo.html If you have more question you can email me directly, eric@makeawoodsign.com
@@oldave100 thank you very much sir. Love you videos
Was using the carving liner for the first time today and it kept running away and drifting it messed up the carving.
You shouldn't go more than 1/8" deep with the carving liner.
Where do you get the ink and the sanding protector you use?
I buy the ink on Amazon. Here's a link to the Marsh Ink in our Amazon store www.amazon.com/dp/B00DLD7JO8/?ref=exp_makeawoodsign_dp_vv_d
The sanding belt cleaner is also in our Amazon store, here's the link to that www.amazon.com/dp/B00AJW0CY8/?ref=exp_makeawoodsign_dp_vv_d
If you have any other questions feel free to email me directly, eric@makeawoodsign.com
What's the difference between primer and just flat black paint? I can get a can of flat black spray for 98 cents at Home Depot. is there a difference?
I've never had good luck with just flat black spray but others have. I would test it out on scrap to see if it works for you.
@@oldave100 Ok I'll try both. Thanks for responding. :)
Do you have a bicycling template?
Actually no, we don't have anything like that. We'll have to come up with some stuff
Do you know what I was doing wrong ? This was on Oak maybe I was cutting to deep. Couldn’t find my debt gage it blue under the table .
Sounds like you were cutting too deep.
@@oldave100 your probably right I’ll let you know ,The wood pile is getting higher . The price of learning is worth it .
Thanks
