If you lose an engine on the Starlancer, switch to decoupled mode. Otherwise, the retro thruster of the other engine will spin you around. With that switch, it is manageable to fly. For landing, you need to be quick because you are also missing vtol on one side and she tries to flip you.
The new mfds took away the ability to manually balance the output of all thrusters. With a little playing you used to be able to balance a ship that lost an engine. They took it away because I think noone ever used it
@@Falenir I thought they just didn't add it to the new MFD's since the engineering interphase should be in charge of that anyway. Just didn't get them both together.
I really enjoy seeing your fully crewed big ship videos. As a man with a full time job, college, wife and a 2 year old son I don't have the time necessary to coordinate and experience the multicrew ship gameplay like this. Thanks for posting these on TH-cam for us all to see.
The Starlancer may not carry the most cargo, but being able to easily fit six 32 SCU boxes is a great feature. The only complaint I have is they could have taken one of the elevators in the back and used that space for a small med bed. That way a medical Ursa wouldn't be 'mandatory' to have in the cargo hold.
Totally agreed. In the sense of classification difference between the two it makes sense I suppose, but it really bums me out that the TAC is getting a med bed but the MAX does not.
tip on turret gunning, hit g to enable the gimbals and you'll be able to stick on those fast ships and further increase your own precision a lot more easily at absolutely no downside to you. It may seem like the turrets are too sensitive at first, but I promise that the increased control of gimbals is the solution.
If I recall you can put 6 32SCU boxes in it (4x32 in the drop down grid and 2x32 in the back) while also having a ground vehicle or small ship in the back, which is pretty good.
It's advertised to fit one Ursa in the vehicle area of the rear bay. However, if one is willing to forego using either of the rear elevators, it's possible to snuggly fit two of either Ursa variants, and by "snuggly" I mean a couple of dozen of centimeters to distribute between the three gaps (i.e. between the first Ursa and the bay door, between the two Ursas, and between the second Ursa and the exterior ramp).
I've found that if you.) fill the drop-down cargo grids, it's a struggle to get the cargo out again. There is zero wiggle room in there. Hopefully something they will fix. (Yeah, I know: one for Issue Council.)
@@stereoroidYeah, they really didn't seem to consider space management by allowing the cargo bay to be packed to the absolute brim like that where there's absolutely no give if you fill every single spot. Boxes just snap right back to where they were, but I've found rotating them on the Z-axis tends to help at least with the smaller boxes. It also feels like a huge miss that the MAX doesn't have a tractor beam, but I guess it is classified as an industrial ship after all.

I love my Starlancer as a mobile base for friends. Great video Kate! Another way to sum up the difference between the max and the tac lower decks is to think of the max's middle cargo area as being in 3 sections front to back. On the tac this is removed. The back third houses 2 medical beds, the middle third is your drop seats, and the front third is for the size 5 side facing guns. This means you only have the rear area to store cargo and vehicles. Keep up the good work!
