I've just started playing Star Citizen a couple of days ago, and am still getting into it - but big multi-crew ships like this is the entire reason I started playing! It just seems so awesome and fun.
I was having some really bad luck with XT- if I got anywhere near a fight, server lag or something would delay everything to the point that I couldn't react, so I'd just get a "shields hit" warning and then just explode right after, regardless of what I was flying. Nice to catch some footage of boarding action and actually crewing this thing.
Always love the videos! I also enjoy the dynamic element to these events. Bringing players together for a common purpose, that's my favorite type of gameplay. Keep up the good work!
It's kind of a dream for me to have gameplay like this - having to break into and board the Idris (or even boarding with something like the Legionnaire in the future!) and fight your way through the defenders to take over the ship. This was a very fun video to watch, and a great idea to try while the event is on!
I have tried to board this thing countless times but this seems to be the best way. I have tried multiple approaches. I have been on it a few times, but never board when no one has been on yet. Was super aggravating.

I can already imagine an Idris coming out of Quantum Space, the front bay doors open and a 40-50 furys come flying out of there, like swarms leaving the hive to attack the threat. would be cool to see live in the verse one day!!!!
The Idris is such a cool ship, it's absolutely insane how big it is compared to some of the other ships, even ones that feel large when compared to a person. I'm also really looking forward to seeing them in the 'verse, and I hope to be able to participate on board one someday

Managed to do this with my org yesterday afternoon/ evening and had a blast. Repaired and refuelled on Hurston and back into the fray amazing. We had a Scorpius, Gladius, x2 Picies and a fury on board in the hangar. So much fun and the fact this was allowed and completable was stunning and bodes well for the games future. After the take over I called out “ clean up on deck B” 🤪😂

This was legendary! I Can't wait for the idris to come out now. I am curious as to if the Xenothreat event will be updated or replaced when the Idris does come out. Idris vs Idris is great, but the even will most likely be a breeze with 2 or 3 fully crewed Idris floating about. If they do update it I wonder what ship Xenothreat would take over next. It could be a Javelin or maybe something else. Imagine if one day Xenothreat showed up with a Bengal Carrier somehow.
My group owns 3 Idris with the K upgrade kit. Why we own 3 I don't really know but after seeing players boarding and fully crewing the Idris I'm even more excited than I already was!

I just got my own lucky chance to fly the IDRIS yesterday and man, that ship's a beast (quite temperamental too). You look at it the wrong way and get shot down in half a second lol :)
I can't wait for engineering mechanics to get into the game, making this ship fully crewable and seeing people running around it while it is in combat.
The boarding is awesome, hope with a better performance would be more challenging with the AI, looking forward for more experiences like this, the future is bright.
I think the only reason that the Carrack is popular. Is because it’s currently the best multi crew ship with a med bed going. That will change when the Idris comes out.
massive org battles will be a spectacle that will be the talk of the gaming community. imagine 10 v 10 Idris with various support ships and boarding squads. I can even see dedicated battlefield reporters being a thing.

I have a feeling CIG is going to release the Idris before SQ42. With the tour and the boarding, there’s really no surprises left for it to hold it back. Definitely an org ship though.

It’s because there is no actual transition! The stuff you can do in Star Citizen is and has been pretty wild.

The 15-minute jump times, while inconvenient, aren't too bad with a full crew. The ship is plenty big enough for mid-flight shenanigans.

Idris is a monster. I wonder just how much more "buffed" up it is for this event vs what players will get.
I wonder if you could do crew tranfers with the bottom MPUV dock and the passenger MPUV, that would be cool as heck

Idris demands boarding mechanic improvements. Boarded a couple Idris last week you definitely feel powerful with a group crewing an Idris.
Cannot wait for some sort of meshing to get more people on instances.
