I've seen some rather derogatory comments about this collab and the song, which is a little confusing as B-M take us across so many genres and they're known for their musical fearlessness. When Incubus played a concert in Tokyo. Band Maid did a short half an hour set to open up the concert. Mike Einzinger came on to play this song with them.A few people recorded the set. He hugged each member of Band Maid and 'Mikey San' as they call him looked to be having as much fun as The Maids. When I first heard the song it was nice enough. As time has gone on I am loving it. Band Maid have an angelic magic about them that makes music sound better with each performance. They are something special and whatever genre they adopt for a song. They make it great.

If someone had only heard those 2 BAND-MAID songs, they'd have to conclude that their lyricist has some serious bi-polar issues. Nope! Just another example of the band's amazing versatility.
