How was an ancient Norse man cyrofrozen? And why no shield? And what kind of contest is it when one man faces multiple fresh opponent's one after another? With no rest and only a little water?
You know they conquered most of Europe and made it all the way to the early America's, right? Even the women were fierce, usually called "Shieldmaidens". They made swords people today can't figure out how they made them, and they were deadly. They were able to navigate sailing on cloudy days on the ocean. They were very impressive.
@@MoxieMike66 i know they were great warriors, I'm just saying if you think your fighters are the baddest ones (The alien leader), then why would you have to stack the deck by setting one fresh fighter after another on just one man? It's an unfair advantage to the one side, and seems to indicate that your guys can only win if they wear down the other guy first (Which didn't work out for them so far).
Vikings did not conquer most of europe, they did raids up rivers and to costal settlements which brought them pretty far into europe for some raids. They did however not really conquer and hold territory in continental europe. (That was not their thing, they made the odd campment for some time but that's mainly it.) Vikings were raiders first and foremost, choosing their battles with time and place of attacks carefully against often unprepared opponents. That's what made them successfull, not being better warriors than everybody else. You can look up the battle of Leuven in 891, and the battle of stamford bridge to see how they fared against an army of equal size and strength. Vikings weren't some superwarriors like some media tries to portrait them. And i agree, the story is weird in 1st in him only having an axe, and no spear, no shield, like he would most likely would have and use. and 2nd the "one guy against everyone" part which is shitty, as there is no compensation for tiring.
I noticed that people are asking why one match after another.... It's called a gauntlet. And my ancestors would relish a gauntlet against supposedly superior opponents
Anybody recall the scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indiana Jones was supposed to have a long battle with a guy and his whip? Harrison Ford wasn't feeling well, so he just shot the guy. Funny.
