19:35 technically you’re also forgetting about writable books which, once published, can have any name given and are also unique through the writer’s gamer tag/player name.
And what happens, if you use written books, as a keycard... There are infinite combinations, because you can write anything into it, copy it, then put it in the door... I would make sure, that once used the password, I would destroy that "keycard", meaning in adventure mode, you would have no access to that vault, except if you are the owner/keycard writer for that vault, meaning you could use 4 different person and connect it on an OR gate, that decides, is there 4 members or you trying to enter the vault. There are infinite possibilities.
But then they can possess of elimination to figure out what the combo is. The lock would be telling you that its wrong, but this way, you cant tell if its right or wrong.

Just for some perspective, there are more combinations for this lock than there are particles in the known universe. Actually, it's around taking all the particles in the known universe to the power of 5. Mathematically, that's x^5 where x is the number of particles. Have fun kids!
Hello There 10! Aye? But it shouldn't be like that. They don't know the length of it. So assuming they bruteforced everything, they should be trying every 1-10 length combinations which....results in 10P1 + 10P2 +.....+ 10P10 which you know how big it is.

Now you can change the name of the author as well

It’s cool watching older Mumbo videos. Seeing him so surprised and happy that the first piston feed tape was working so easy made me smile
Now, find a way to have it so that if you mess up once it resets *EVERYTHING* making them start all over again!
But then they can possess of elimination to figure out what the combo is. The lock would be telling you that its wrong, but this way, you cant tell if its right or wrong.

i'd assume the whole map is all about solving puzzles that tell you the combination to the door

Step 2. Try to remember that f*#@ing code
That's what you hide behind the door
LOL😂😂😂
Step 3: get robbed cuz someone just mined through the door
I love combo locks. I made an item frame one that requires you to spin the middle one all the way around once (though a dispenser click gives that away)
Just for some perspective, there are more combinations for this lock than there are particles in the known universe. Actually, it's around taking all the particles in the known universe to the power of 5. Mathematically, that's x^5 where x is the number of particles. Have fun kids!
Aidan Bath god damnit, did you really have to throw math at us?
just to say, he said x to the power of 200 right? (octosexagintillion 207)
andrei deang im 8 and smarter than you haha
Wasn't that 'to the power of ~200' just for the item combination?
Thats a lot of combinations
The button one was actually 36288000 combinations, as they don't know how many buttons need to be hit
Hello There 10! Aye? But it shouldn't be like that. They don't know the length of it. So assuming they bruteforced everything, they should be trying every 1-10 length combinations which....results in 10P1 + 10P2 +.....+ 10P10 which you know how big it is.
it is exactly 9864101 if you add doing nothing
Mauricio Moscoso If they get the right first 4, the rest don't matter so subtract those
It's also a lot less, as they know when they hit the right one, so instead of 10*9*8..., it's 10 + 9 + 8...

love how all of that is for a wooden door when you could just right click and open it

There are approximately 10^80 atoms in the known universe
You have more than three times more possible combinations than all the atoms in the e n t i r e u n i v e r s e
Edit: scuse me, three _powers_ more
Meaning if you multiply all the atoms in the known universe together three times, this door will still have more combinations than that number
Raio x
1078 to 1082 atoms in the known, observable universe. In layman’s terms, that works out to between ten quadrillion vigintillion and one-hundred thousand quadrillion vigintillion atoms.
I don't think mumbo has between ten quadrillion vigintillion combinations

Akhilk 99999 or he would put all he's resources into building it lel
Savvy The Savage we would not die
i always leave an emergency entrance tunnel for myself in the event of creepers.
In my combo locks I make any of the bad levers disconnect the circuit so you can't just flip all the levers to gain entry.
I'm waaaaay late to the party, but to put 1.264174 × 10^264 (the number he got after the item combination lock) into context, that's more combinations than there are atoms in the universe. That number is also about 1.26417400 × 10^182 times larger than the amount of atoms in the universe
Of you tried to count to it, saying one number every second, then the universe would die before you finish
Open the door by clicking on it #woodenDoorMechanics

Meharban Singh most secure door ever
Mind = blown
"You can use 90 different chracters in anvils"
Yea I think it's way more than that, since you can copy paste alt-codes and different language characters
It probably allows all of Unicode. So that's a hell of a lot and constantly is being updated with more options. You can probably even paste emojis into anvils...
10^100 is known as a Googol. And you’ve got over 2.5 times as many zeroes. Just goes to show you how the number of possible combinations can quickly skyrocket with systems like this.
THE MOST SECURE DOOR IN MINECRAFT!!!!!

Mumbo:Making the most secure Minecraft door ever!
Me: puts valuables in a chest in the storage room
Mumbo: gives block by block in structions on the first three locks.
Also Mumbo: skips button combinations because he doesn't know how to make them.
Rewatching this after 7 years brought back so many memories. It was so Fun!
*Quantum computer can solute all possible variations by 2 seconds!*
*Mumbo:* We need to build more secured door!
A quantum computer isn't necessarily faster, it just calculates different. And that is honestly the best way to describe it.
QC bottleneck is actually normal computing as you need transform it into binary format to output and read.
Quantum computers only take the square root of the time that normal ones do.
Me : Plays minecraft *Normally*
Mumbo : *Plays minecraft using Math*
Mumbo: *makes a super secure door*.
Griefer: *clicks the door*.
Door: *opens*.
ohad the king and nevo123123 better make sure its an iron door then :3
@@ShadeKirby500 or just use the wood door as a decoy, making the massive combination lock actually deactivate a trap behind the wood door...
Griefer: left clicks the door

To anyone wondering, 1 with 264 zeros after it is called septenoctogintillion, and that’s the number of possible combinations in this video.
ALL of that redstone...to open a WOODEN DOOR!!! MUMBO!!!
This should be ranamed to "Math By Mumbo"
there are exactly a lot of combinations
LOL
To put that huge number into context, a 9x9x9 Rubik's cube has 14x10^279 possible combinations.
You should build this in your hermit craft series as a tunnel to another secret base
Except you should put a piston door instead of a regular door
the most secure door in minecraft...
...one in single player
BMAN488877 ... Can't open doors
"why use a big word, when a diminutive one will suffice?" Lets just go with "shitload" lol
Kudos to Mumbo for learning a whole new difficult redstone circut just for this video

This reminds me of all those stupid games about getting absurd amounts of money. *congrats, you now earn (that big number ^^^) dollars a minute*
Edit:typo
This would be useful if you are in a server and you protect your house so anyone can destroy it , it would hace to be an antiexplotions server so people cant destroy it with tnt cannons (idk how to write cannon)
ElMasterDeLosCubitos LoL its cannon
MaximalGamingNL wrong canon
were 491 you.are.dumb
were 491 Canon is a camera. Cannon is an actual huge gun thing (I don't know how to describe it)
You would be sitting there your whole life, and even then you haven't tried 1% of the combinations.
*Everyone speaking about how you can just break the door*
Mumbo: *Changes everyone’s gamemode to adventure*
U can still open it or go around...
