    Thank you so much for taking the time to post this video. The inability to move below the soft stop of zero was preventing me from calibrating the CR touch. Very clear, concise and helpful! much appreciated!!!

      I'm curious...when did you get into 3D printing and what motivated you to try it out? What kind of things do you print? Have you tried designing your own stuff? RG

    I was able to obtain the g code file you suggested but did not know if I should save it on a new page or the page that Notepad++ opens up with. AND when I do try to save it I am told I need administrator permissions, which I am the administrator I right click on the Notepad to run as administrator but get the same message.

    I have a serious problem with my I3 mega. It starts 46mm above the bed all time. I tried to do z offset in cura but no difference. Its crazy cannot find a solution. Been updating with original firmware.

    So what to do when after doing all of this and when I go to the printer to turn off the limit, I still cannot get it to go below zero?

    • @CreatewithTech
      @CreatewithTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you change the extension of the file that you created to *.gcode ? You need to do this otherwise it won't work...your printer won't recognize the file and will ignore it.

      @@CreatewithTech Thank you for such a quick response, yes I did and I also figured out what I didn't do as well. When I entered the last line of the gcode, M211 S0, I forgot to hit enter. Did this on both the turn off and turn on. I redid the file and it now works. My apologies, this is my very first time doing anything gcode related and so it's all new to me. Again thank you. Your video on setting the Z axis offset is the best one I've come across btw.

    Hi, Thanks so much for your video. Very well explained. This is the problem that I have. Would you be able to make available the M211 S0 gcode file for download? I am having trouble getting a copy of Notepad++ installed on my computer. That would be super helpful.

    Should this work on an ender 3 V2 printer? I followed your steps but to no avail. I also wonder if my firmware should not be what's recommended via Creality for CR touch install...?

    So learn a lot of you, 👍
    I think the next lesson wil be, how to set up a wi-fi connection 🤔
    And greetings from Holland

      I'm glad to hear that you found this video helpful. A wi-fi connection is a great addition to 3D printing. I highly recommend it with Octoprint. RG

    how do you revert the changes, my extruder is still too many mm off the bed, and my z-offset can't go below -10 or above 10
    How do i fix this or how do i revert the changes

    • @CreatewithTech
      @CreatewithTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello @joerex9494...sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your z offset. To revert the z offset to factory settings, there should be an option in the menu. It's a bit odd though that you can't go below -10 and it does seem to me that -10 should be sufficient to set the z offset. I don't know what printer you have, so it's difficult for me to give specific instructions, but if you have calibration wheels under the bed I would use them to raise the bed to a height that will bring it close to the nozzle. I would then try to redo the more finely tuned z offset calibration. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but it's difficult without actually having access to your specific printer. Good Luck. I hope you figure it out. RG

      I use a Ender 3v3 SE so no calibration wheels, the only thing i could find was reset configuration, but that doesn't help either.
      also tried the M211 S1 to try and enable the soft limit switch function but that doesn't change anything either im still able to go into the negative values

    I have a question what the files do you put them on your 3D printer SD card where it prints or no cuz my 3D printer is a voxel lab it'd be really helpful if you could help me out

    You are tops, just found your channel today and glad I did. I haven't gone through all of videos yet but you mentioned about using OctoPrint with an old "computer" could you elaborate a bit more on this, I presume it would be connected by USB cable. The reason being that a Pi is bit out of budget atm but I do have a spare laptop with Linux Mint. Thank you

    • @CreatewithTech
      @CreatewithTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello @batchit. Glad to have you here. Yes, it is possible to install Octoprint on a Linux Mint laptop and it'll work well. I have, however, not done a video on how to do so. The steps that you need to go through to install Octoprint can be found here: community.octoprint.org/t/setting-up-octoprint-on-a-raspberry-pi-running-raspberry-pi-os-debian/2337 . If you've had a bit of experience with Linux command line and SSH connection to your Linux you'll probably be able to do it without issues. I may make a video specifically on installing Octoprint on an old laptop sometime in the future. RG
