    30 years ago you could visit house and gardens for free. No shops, no cafes, no museum, few visitors.
    The house felt like JimThompson could return at any moment.
    Still worth a visit I guess but now a tourist trap.

    Ah, such a bummer you couldn't take a guided tour. Glad you got to experience the grounds though. They are beautiful! We had a great time when we went, but I am kicking myself for not purchasing a scarf. 😅

    A little FYI. : Klong in Thai means canal... For Thai people, any river could be wider than 20 m. more than that most of Klong were man made for traffic purposes in the past 😅😅😅...❤
