That kid has the Fishing blood flowing through his veins for sure. Reminds me of myself at that age. Except I grew up on a little river bass fishing as opposed to the epic fishing that he gets to grow up doing. Tell him I said hi and hopefully I will bump into him again next salmon season.

Couldn't agree more! Sometimes it can be hard to escape the madness of salmon season and sometimes you just meet a bunch of really good guys who all just want to be out there catching fish and learning and helping others catch fish and learn. Also this is just part 1 :)
Fast forward 24 hours and he was calling my 17 pound king small because he got a bigger one the day before lol I think he got four on that first day after we got him all rigged up. That kid was in that spot from sun up to sundown all week lol
We hooked him up with some terminal tackle and skein. I despoiled his reel for him too and showed him how to tie an egg loop knot. He payed me back by saving my rod from going over the rail when I set it down and a king ate the lure while I wasn’t looking lol.
Lol, I'm local, I just can't get anything anywhere. lol been going from hesperia,Whitehall to Montague all in white river, but no luck, and is my first year fishing for salmon. Need a good spot
@@johanssediaz-cortes1093 i’ve been there that’s frustrating. Past few days the Salmon run isn’t looking very promising. The last three weeks have all been good anywhere I tried. I would expect to find some fresh fish moving in the rivers with the rain that we recently got. Round two hopefully is just around the corner.

Fished with him also this past summer , gave him a bag of skein and a couple bobbers fished at the rail trail bridge for hours
