I just bought mine on sale for $78 on Amazon. I'm blown away with the audio quality of these things compared to the bigger competitors. I've been a Rode fanboy for years, but these Underdogs are giving them a run for their money big time.
Hey@@MikeOrazzi - I'll make a short to show everyone how to do this, but here are the steps for syncing in Adobe Premiere: 1.) Drag the audio and video files into the Project panel 2.) Select the audio and video files in the Project Panel and right-click or ctrl-click on them 3.) In the menu that pops up, select "Merge clips..." 4.) In the "Merge Clips" menu, select the "Audio track channel" and "1" in the drop down menu. 5.) Make sure none of the checkboxes are checked under "Audio" and click the "OK" button. After the audio and video clips are merged, you'll want to mute the audio track(s) on the video so that the sound is coming from the audio file only. Let us know how it goes!
Honestly great value system but its only 16 bit something important to note. If that's not a deal breaker for you then its such a great a system just wish it was 24 bits since im processing audio a lot unfortunately
I’m new to audio so pardon my ignorance. So the audio actually sounds quite good to me, so in what ways would the bit depth (16vs24) affect daily use of this system? You mention post processing, does that extra data allow you to do more filtering, compression etc without causing distortion or something? Or does the bit depth affect the dynamic range or something, making it harder to set an appropriate gain level?
@@Will_K. No worries, I’m not an audio expert either! From what I understand, it’s about the dynamic range. With 24 bits, I believe you’re capturing more data, so there’s more to work with in post processing. For me, 16 bits is fine for the videos I’m creating. If I do any post processing, it’s to reduce background noise, and it’s not often that I have to do that.
That's a great tip, thanks! I've also noticed that there are CM28 kits that don't come with the clip-on mics, so people should make sure those are included if that's something they want. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Each microphone transmitter can record up to 4 GB of audio, and you can transfer the audio files to your computer using a cord that comes with the system You may also be able to connect the wireless receiver to your camera if it has a compatible connection port. The CM28 is very flexible
You should be able to connect the wireless receiver with your a7iv using the cord that came with the CM28. Don't try to connect it using the USB-C port. Based on my research, that won't work. This "best practices" post on reddit might also help you: www.reddit.com/r/SonyAlpha/comments/xb68f4/best_practices_when_setting_a7iv_audio_recording/. Good luck!
It looks like there's a free iPhone app called "WavePad" that will let you record and edit audio. Give that a shot, and try doing some test recordings by placing the mic at various distances to find the "sweet spot"
So it records internally from the mic/transmitter to the reciever the one in the middle of the case up to 8gb? 4gb per transmitter? i thought only the reciever had 4gb of internal storage? what am i missing?
@@delavardeheshjoo4269 My kit came with a cord that hooks up to the transmitter and my computer. I'm able to transfer the files by dragging and dropping them (I'm on a Mac.) As far as sync'ing the audio with video, check my comment to @LetThySingleEyeBeStill. I describe how to do it using Premiere

You scored an awesome deal!
@@EpicDayEveryDay Totally! Great video, thanks man.
$78? They have it for $90 "on sale" now. How do you sync the audio with the videos if you record to the receiver?
@@MikeOrazzi I use a program called Plural Eyes created by Red Giant to sync all my audio for me.

A very good test review. 👍
Good video. Would love to see how it connected to the phone better and how to record using it.
Ty please make comparison vs Godox Magic Tx1😊

Be careful when you order: There is a version around, also dubbed ›CM28‹ that comes without the charging box!

How do I import the sound from the transmitter to my Mac book? Or can I connect the cord directly to my camera ?
Each microphone transmitter can record up to 4 GB of audio, and you can transfer the audio files to your computer using a cord that comes with the system

The CM28 is very flexible
Are there any camera settings I’ll need to adjust? I plugged in the audio jack but it did not record the audio when I uploaded from the SIM card
What model camera are you using?
Sony a7iv

So each microphone can store 4gb of audio files giving you a total of 8gb?
Yes, that's correct
@@EpicDayEveryDay thank you
My playback volume is low with transmitter. How do I correct this?
You may need to place your mic closer to the person's mouth while recording. Have you tried normalizing the audio in post production?
@@EpicDayEveryDay I don’t know how to do that. My first time trying this. I’m connected to my iPhone to record. I have to find an app to edit as well

There are 2 transmitters. Each of those can record up to 4gb of data
and you import those audiofiles to pc how? through the reciever or transmitters?

Okay so each of the transmitters store on their own unit and you transfer them from the transmitters aswell to the pc with the cord. Got it
