    The turning pulley (the moving wheel you saw)is attached to a squirrel cage fan blade in a ventilation shaft, and is being moved by air currents in the ventilation duct that turn the fan blades and the shaft and pulley...

      A good explanation for a natural occurrence that people with overactive imaginations and a lack of common sense will attribute to "paranormal" forces!

      SNIDER FAMILY While I definitely question and even scoff at what most people think is paranormal activity, truly intelligent people know and accept that there is far too much we still don't know and can't explain and will never be able to know and explain to simply write off everything that could possibly be paranormal just because not everyone has experienced it. I am very skeptical about most things, but I maintain my open-mindedness.

    It's sad that it happened but I loved seeing the cemetery under the water. Thats the kind of stuff i love finding. Most places move cemeteries prior to flooding the area.

    I did five ghost investigations. All left a lasting impression on me.
    I had one experience with a cemetery and that was when I lived in an apartment next to one and I could hear people sobbing outside my bedroom window one morning. It was real people crying at a graveside service. I couldn't wait to move out.

    At 13:05 you're looking at a synchroscope. These are used in power plants and basically display the speed difference between a generator and the outside grid. They are needed when you are bringing a generator online and need to synchronize it with the grid.

    The wheel is being turned by air currents from the duct work. That is a squirrel cage blower minus the motor. There is a fan inside it takes very little air to make it spin.

    The "turning wheel" Is a pulley that used to drive a ventilation FAN the fan is still in the duct and the wind is making it spin....

  • @barefootvagabond5826
    @barefootvagabond5826 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Love the intro. Also, not to make it sound bad, but probably one of your best videos. Side note, the whirlpool is from currents flowing into the building and back out at the very bottom. Adamthewoo actually went here Nov 2014 and noted all of the stress the building was going through. Crazy to see the inside of the building and some things haven't moved.

  • @jeffsfleet
    @jeffsfleet 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    The wheel (actually a pulley) is being powered by the outside wind. Inside that large housing is a squirrel cage (fan blade) The wind outside is flowing through the ductwork and rotating the fan, therefore spinning the pulley. At one time there was an electric motor driving that pulley that either exhausted air from the inside out, or used to draw in fresh air in from the outside. No paranormal activity there!

      combined w/"The Exorcist's" Regan! To each her/his own, but I can't see beckoning darkness reaping any type of positive result. As for the mad tornado, perhaps this cemetery's residents sought to share a brief sampling of their now-watery grave w/their breathing neighbors - a lil' karmic tit-for-tat, as it were. I doubt eternity in a submerged, soggy coffin was part of the og bargain!

    I just watched this on my smart tv where you fast forward through the frames rather than slide the bar over to FF or rewind. When I did that it wasn't screen shots from the video, it was random kids toys, one of them said RIP. When I went to play it would go back to your video and not the toys that were on the screen and they weren't clear images, you couldn't pause on them, only fast forward. IT WAS Creepy! I tried again and it was Jacobs video.

    They are the marked graves of Henry, Moses and Zilpah Long. Henry died in 1875 and Zilpah in 1860. Moses birth is noted as November 25, 1880 but died 3 months later. Some say the souls from the workers, the children, and the graves flooded under the river are among some of the spirits that continue to haunt the site.

    I am absolutely shocked that this place is not locked down to the public, or at least have very serious blockades up where one can get anywhere near the deep water. There should also be signs up saying you are undertaking exploring this facility at your own risk, and the owner holds absolutely no liability, real or otherwise. The way it is now, someone is going to get hurt.

    At 3:00 It's a chimney effect draft. Cold air up top rushing to the bottom, thats turning the wheel.
    The only way to debunk this theory is to disconnect a part of the duct work and check for a draft with tissue paper.
    Roof top vents could change it's direction according to the wind.
