You're crit right about that Colin it's definitely good that you and Shaun are back on a Friday at 4:00pm it hasn't been the same with out you guys last Friday and I like to say thanks you from all of us who watch you both for all the laughter's and the joys 👍
Because of you, I had to read up on how to keep bees here in Sweden, where it can get really cold in the winter. Apparently the bees create heat during the winter by sitting close together like in a ball, it's called a winter ball. The queen sits in the middle and the worker bees rotate to take turns sitting at the far end. The temperature can be around 20 degrees Celsius in the middle, even if it is minus 20 degrees outside. Fantastic! Then we in Sweden have a saying: "A stone has fallen from my heart". It's fitting after all the "stone problems" you had to go through. As usual, thanks for an entertaining channel and greetings from Sweden!❤👍
@@suzannewch7202 Scandinavians understand "Low German" very well and sayings were mixed then before High German became the Germans' first language. Sometimes it went wrong, but it became fun. In German you say "Unkraut vergeht nicht". In Swedish it became in english "Evil gunpowder does not perish so easily"...😃
The vlogs about bee care have been so interesting. Who knew! I’ve loved honey forever and respect the bees that visit our garden, but knew nothing of their care. Thank you for teaching us something new about our valuable resource.
I think your bees and chickens are so lucky to have such caring and loving people looking after them. It was so lovely to see you smiling and happy together and hear Sean's cheeky laugh again. Keep safe love and hugs to you both and Oatis it was lovely to see him too❤❤💚🧡💛💜💖❣❣💕💗
You two are such naturals at all of this! Those bees and chickens are living their best lives because of you two, not to mention Otis of course! I'm very glad you're feeling better now, Colin, it must have been quite stressful for the pair of you - all the very best to you both from this stranger 'cross the pond!
Colin & Bees 🐝, sooo calming just to watch & listen to! You are in your element, so Sweet & Bee- Wise. Interesting vlog also winterizing comments. Even with the latest health issues, you both appear more peaceful & at home these days, in a good way!!🧡🍂🍁🍂 🐝 🍂🍁🍂🧡
What a great video. It's so nice to see everything getting back to normal again. I found your work with the Bees quite fascinating and interesting. I hope they are O.K during the winter because it does get very cold in Scotland. You have chosen such a beautiful place to live. Keep well and safe. James.
Hi, y’all. Thank you for the beautiful scenic shots, the update on the chickens area and how you’re planning for their winter, as well as for the bees and the hives. Colin, you can do this, you can wait until March to check on your beloved bees. Shaun, I know you understand this perfectly, I’m so glad how Colin makes you laugh! Y’all are quite the happy pair. Remember, hug each other for me and give Otis a hug as well, from all the way over here in Portland, Oregon.
Just received my calendar today in Canada! Absolutely beautiful and heart warming!! I wanted to send you three a big hello and thanks, for being a part of my mental health journey. It's an honor to witness your transition from one exciting lifestyle to another. Carry on boys!
Aww, hope the little buzzy peeps keep snug and safe, and the pecky buggers 🙈😂...now,just you two and Otis to get your thermals and big jumpers ready.fab vlog as usual xx
OMG. This vlog was so educational and interesting. I love my honey, but never realized all the work necessary to keep the bees safe. Thank you so much.
Really pleased to see you both back after your recent and painful health issues. In different ways, both of you must have suffered badly. Thank heavens you have bounced back. In regard to the bees, those blood-sucking mites sound horrible.
Glad to see you back Shaun you are looking and sounds so much better. Colin does not look as stressed also. I live with chronic pain which effects my mental health, so love you guys and your humor it is a great help.
Interesting...I enjoyed seeing how you "winter" your bees and chickens. Colin, you look a little more relaxed this vlog and Shaun, you look great as always.
I had a dream you adopted reindeer for over the winter to help pull a sled and a plow in the spring to start the garden. It was very cute! Thanks for the winter prep video! I never knew this about bees!
Colin, if indeed you now have a cervix you need to get straight back on to your surgeon!! 🤣 What a pleasure to see you guys when I come home from work to a house of teenagers 😱! You light up the day. Love your photos of autumn in bonnie Scotland... material for book 2? Much love to you Colin and Shaun, also Otis 🐾, the 🐓🐔 & b🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝s!
Welcome back from a rough few weeks. Really enjoyed learning about bedding down the 🐝 for winter. Stay well and look forward to the train barn next week.
A fantastically informative video as always. I think your both extremely talented and have adapted to life in the Highlands so well. Please keep the videos coming.
Fantastic episode guys. You always have me laughing so much! It’s great to see you out and about a Colin but please don’t over do it. Still sending you wishes for a fast recovery. Thank you for making my not great day better. 💖
Colin, I'm clueless how cold it gets in Scotland, but here in Minnesota the hives are covered with a layer of Styrofoam so the snow doesn't bother the bees. The entrances are not covered and the metal strip is removed so it doesn't freeze shut. They are still checking on after a storm to make sure they are not covered in snow. Good luck.
Happy Halloween guys! 🐝🐝🐝 We really enjoyed your winter prep upload and you can really see your love for 🐝🐝🐝 and how much it relaxes you. Total natural! Glad to see you both and back fighting fit! Stay safe for the winter months ahead! ❄️🙏👌
Happy to have you lads back on Friday afternoons! I am looking forward to the train barn vlogs, being a railfan or train spotter, if you will. Especially steam railroading. I follow the North Yorks Moors railway.
Nice to have you back. We used to keep an old style lightbulb in with the chickens and had it on a timer. Between the chickens and the bulb, they were nice and toasty
Colin good to see you feeling and looking better I'm sure the bee's will be fine they are hardie little things and nearly choked on my tea ( strap on for the chickens) hilarious 😄 looking forward to next vlog guys 👍🙂♥️🏴
What a great video. Excellent clear information for the viewer. I can just imagine the hen huddle and the bees buzzing as the snooze in the cosy hive. Glad you are both looking well.
FANTASTIC TO HAVE YOU BACK!! Colin, has no bee keeper come up with a tiny interior bee-cam? That would keep your mind at rest. Shaun, our neighbors have chickens. Here in Ohio it gets very cold in winter. Their girls do well with one regular lightbulb on all the time…..great start to my weekend, thank you for your vlog!
So, so good to see you guys and on top of this such interesting topics. What a great future of education you are providing us. Building a train installation at some point in a cold barn. Trrrraaaaiiiin . Love you guys.
Sooo good to have you back, your smiles are almost back to normal, I’m glad Colin is feeling much better, now the weekend can truly start like in the good old days:)

Hi Guys, just found you both on TH-cam so doing a big catch up and enjoying every video,I live in Bournemouth and have been to the highlands a few years ago,it really is the most beautiful place, think my favourite video so far was the walk to the mannie statue and the outtake of that guy just staring at you, really made me laugh 😂Glad the bees are all tucked up for the winter,my grandad used to keep bees 🐝 I spent hours watching them as a kid, going to watch another couple of hours now, take care and keep safe xx
Thank-you for teaching me something again - this time about beekeeping. I'm going to watch you with interest for the next few months, since where I live it doesn't get as cold and I'm curious as to what people do in other parts of the world - especially the colder parts. (I'm in Melbourne) We are heading towards summer here, so I'll enjoy the contrast. I wish you a normal Scottish winter, with regular weather patterns and no sustained extremes. Good to see you are well-ish Colin. Shaun, it is always a pleasure to see your smiling face. :😉
You know Colin is feeling better, when he has got Shaun in stitches of laughter. 😂 Good to have you back guys it's not been Friday without you both. 👍😁🐔🐝
