The acceleration boost is a FIRE upgrade!!! I love it!
Cars + tech 🔥💪🏽
Those Cybertrucks passing by right on cue was hilarious 😂 but the Y looks good! Glad you got it spec’d how you wanted it.
Sweet ride!
Hey J between my sister who lives in Dallas and myself in Missouri we both have agreed to go one hybrid and one ev she’s looking at a model 3 as a 2nd vehicle . I suggested it might be a good idea being in Texas to bypass awd and go for rwd and get a little extra range
Have you found any case use scenarios where you absolutely needed awd
That paint l°°ks amazing in the sunshine! Njoy
How do you choose which dash bar? I see some are wood some are suede and some are white.... we ordered one but it didnt give us an option to choose
Morning sir. I see you changed the rims. Did that reduce your mileage like it shows on the Tesla website? We get our LRAWD tomorrow. Your friend, Gregg from Virginia. PS what was your solar like and how do you get free supercharger?
I have not noticed any change, they basically the same as the stock caps. They just look different...and some people report better range.
Man that Red is 🔥
Beautiful RED car, J.
I still got my referral points
I like my model Y, but just wish it had more range. I need a 100 KWH battery pack minimum where I drive. No chargers where I go. If I don't leave home with atleast 95% charge I'm not making it home. No chargers in many rural towns.
Nice info, just checked my 2024 long range all wheel drive model y and we both have the same software versions but my build has the FSD capability at the time of purchase, I only add that last part because when I go to the upgrades I don't get the option to add the acceleration boost any one know whats up thanks
Go in the store through your app, not the car. I have FSD as well, it was there when I bought the car.
@@smartphoneconversations thanks bro I checked both, but what I meant was the difference is that I outright purchased the FSD, I don't get the message that it expires. They only expiration message I get is for the premium connectivity. I only want to put this out there to see if anyone else is getting / experiencing this, also my build is a 7 seater.
Got my MYLR in Feb and thinking of getting AB on my one year anniversary. Hopefully they still have it for 9,500 credits which I have 14k. They can change it so I’m not sure.. that’s the only risk I’m taking.
Your points expire 12 months from the date they hit your account, so you might as well do it now while they are still good.
What type if of wheel covers do you have
Heres is everything I've done so far

Is that only for hardware 4?
No but I believe it's only for the Long Range vehicles (old Model 3 LR and current Model Y LR vehicles, idr if new Model 3 LR got the AB option yet). I don't think the single motor vehicles get the AB option but I could be wrong (correct me if I'm wrong on that).
I just purchased a 2024 MYLR AWD 7 seater and I don't have the option to purchase the Acceleration Boost (AB). I called Tesla twice and they said my car doesn't qualify for the AB due to the type of battery that I have. They mentioned that I have a BT48 battery and the cars that have the battery BT37, BT38, BT42, and BT43 qualifies for AB. What that all means, I have no idea. They also said there's nothing guaranteed that the BT48 battery equipped cars will get the option for AB. I talked with sales manager I dealt with at the dealership and he will be talking with his master tech and will let me know if there are other options. Is your car's origin, Fremont? Mine is.
My car was made in Austin TX. I've never heard of this before, that's crazy. Did you Google to find out if anyone else was told this? I bought the Acceleration Boost the and day I picked up the car, that's wild.
Look what I found on Reddit, WOW. You are not the only one. www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModelY/comments/1c3994y/wtf_2024_my_lr_battery_ineligible_for_the/
@@smartphoneconversations Yeah I saw that on Reddit too. I'm a bit disappointed about all of this.
@@smartphoneconversations Good to know your car was made in TX. Sounds like you probably have a different battery than mine.
Oh I think it might be because you have a 7 seater, that's the only thing I see lots of people NOT saying they have. Most have a 5 seater. Did you think about that?
With Tesla making such a push to sell the Model Y they should just make this standard for Long Range models as an incentive.
I think they know they don’t need to based on how much of a hot seller it’s been but I get your point
so at 21% charge which is 64 miles range you can do one takeoff which costs 2 miles of range and cuts the accel from 4.6sec 0 to 60 down to 4.2
for $2,000
that seems not worth it
4.8 to 4.2 is. big boost, but yeah I would not pay $2000 for it.
Man I wish they would make it 1k
Yeah that would be very cool.
Love the Red
Sorry just curious, what do you do for a living besides youtube?
First. I don't do TH-cam for a living, this is a hobby that I share my things and experiences with Tech. Second. Why do you ask that?
@@smartphoneconversations I've just been following you for a long time, I usually watch what ever you post but I just wanted to know. You are inspiring and I just want to know what I can do to get something like this. I did not think you did TH-cam fulltime enough to use it as a main source as like you said, it's only a hobby. Sorry if I came off kinda strong, no disrespect.
I mean, if you have been a long time follower...you KNOW my work history lol. Anyone here that has been following me, KNOWS what I've done for work and what I do now. No worries, just answered your comment. Why did you read it as though I was offended?
@@smartphoneconversations Well you seem to be on the defensive by me asking a personal question and your answer started with "first" followed up with a correction, and ended with "second" and no real answer. I appreciate your approach but I get the message, you really meant, mind your own business. So I'm not curious anymore.
@@smartphoneconversations also I been following you ever since when you were making LGG3 phone videos. Also, because you and I have the same name, I thought it was cool.
Don't pay any attention AT ALL to people would even think that EVs destroy the world, let alone have the balls to say it to the J man. 👍
Only problem I have is I’ve never been behind a Tesla and thought, “ wow that car is moving!” Instead I’m thinking, “one of the fastest accelerating vehicles on the road and someone’s grandma is driving it…”
