    Wow this actually worked thanks man! I've always had a sponge but I thought you needed to go ball to the wall when you spiral with the sponge, but I didn't know to start from the tips slowly and I literally just did it a few minutes ago and it curled up easily and it made a difference. Thank you man!!! Also question, how would I need to wash my hair if I'm doing free from dreads, wouldn't it mess up? In advance thank you.

      Exactly this isn't freeforming it's semi and I literally just used an open hand lol when my hair was dry and when I was in the shower washing it, it took no time.

      @@fionn8265 I have maybe 3c hair and its soft so it's still working out the parts but my back is almost all parted. My fine hair in the middle is being stubborn to part so far. I have to wet and rotate my hair counter clockwise daily for it to show.

    Instead of a sponge I used a twist it up comb for my hair which I found wayyy better than a sponge. Made my freeforms look more professional and got to the roots better

    Do Two Strand twist and Just Leave them in I’m on my 3rd month and developed multiple Congo’s and allat, I’m Mexican and black so the sponge never worked on me😭
    So if you gotta C type hair get active with two strands for sure‼️

      Na, brush wil cause combing out of the roots or the locs which is not what people want, you want your roots to lock up as much as possible, string roots is the best

      @@locsman no not really, brushing will pick or brush out what you want to come together, brushing may cause for the new growth to look a bit more loose and like a fro but that’s going to be counter productive to what you actually want to be happening which is allowing the hair to fully lock and the roots lock as much as possible Strong roots will allow for the hair to not have so much tensions the longer they get cus looser hair with haven’t locs heaving off of it can cause more pulling causing more tensions and possible hair loss over time, even with fully locked roots that can happen, unless you mean back combing

    I just washed my 1 week old semi freeforms and I don’t know if it’s normal but some of them have like completely locked like as if they were crocheted

      That’s because water actually helps them lock by stripping the built up oil drying the hair and also causing tangling and knotting and matting which is what is the locking process, clean hair locks faster but after every two to three washes add some oil to your hair if needed to hold in moisture, I use extra virgin olive oil

    Ay man ill really appreciate if you could answear here that if i get freedread sponge and i have a very curly hair like really really and im european white do am able to get them freeform dreads?
    If im brushing out my hair like yall i have a almost like real brushed out like yall hair. If im cutting it to the same lenght at top a bit and making my hairline can i get them fresh short dread curly look?

      Just get two standard twist freeforms are annoying and hard to contain if you don't know what you are doing

      Jus stop retwisting and separating them. They’ll be “semi free form” technically.
