Sponge works best when hair is short and only with afro hair.3/4-1.75 inch is perfect.Begins locking immediately.just spritz with water & go.fully locked in 3 months. No products needed.

Great Video! I have been using the sponge for about 6 month, and within the 2nd month, my hair was completely lock up. I also wash my hair about every 3-4 days. Washing your hair actually helps the locking process. Just don't do it too often.

Do you use the sponge wet or dry or semi wet I have tight curls but not super tight my hair is all the way to my chin a little longer and barely above my eyes and what side do you recommend people to go

U don’t have to do that unless you just doing it for the style. In the beginning if you keep taking it apart they ain’t ever gone loc.

im having this problem where the twists are coming out really thick at the bottom
thats normal, after they lock up you can use a crochet hook or cut the ends to get "blunted" tips

It took about 5 months but the rest of my hair took 4 months

A retwist is when you twist your hair tight to the scalp. You can do it yourself.

Usually people retwist with their fingers. You can do it while your hair is wet or if you have gel you can use a little bit of gel.
