I'm white+jewish with 2bish hair. I have 2 locks framing my face. I started with braids and teased it with my hand. I do palm rolling and wrap any loose hairs back into the lock. Like a two strand twist with a tiny section. After 4 years they have matured so much and they are great

Hey i have a question. I have straight hair that it still quit short so i’m growing it out so i can start my dreadlock journey. But i would like some advice on what method i can you if i tell you i DON’T necessarily want instant locks. I am okay with it being a process that requires some patience if that gives the nicest result afterwards.
I want my locks natural looking so the thickness can have a bit of variation.
Should i do twist’n’rip and finish with some palm rolling to start and then let them mature like that?

I'm letting my mostly straight hair freeform, i'm about a month in of november combing and i've gotta say, i've already got a couple baby locs popping up that have started forming about a week in.

    • @TheINFP_Diary
      @TheINFP_Diary 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@definitelynotv1ncecuh857 I just stopped brushing it, I've taken maybe 3-4 warm showers but the rest of my daily or every other day rinses include just cold water with showering or a cold bath.
If I need to wash my hair I've started using bentonite clay and my hair is healthier than it's ever been, I dilute the clay in a glass bowl with lots of water, I dunk my hair into the bowl a few times and make sure to get the clay water all over my scalp, i'll do a massage as well.
This sounds like a lot buts it's extremely simple, the more natural you treat your hair, the more it will thank you with its beauty.
      Cold water, clay.
Also eat fruit for the first meal of the day, hope this helps!

    Cool video and very informative.
I'm a white guy who's been wanting to lock his hair for a while now. But I wasn't sure on the best way to go about it
Now though I can go ahead and pay homage to my ancestors, the ancient Britain's.
    Cheers mate.

Thanks. I am considering various opinions for my autistic daughter who refuses to brush her hair. She also had weird hair. The top half is straight to wavy and the bottom half is curly, however the top tangled really badly all the time. I thought straight hair was supposed to be nice and silky and not tangly.

@@SomeobeditzIn every language, but particularly English as there are so many speakers worldwide in so many cultures, words take on new meanings as time passes. Here’s an example that fits pretty well here.
      Awesome and Awful
Awesome and awful are the words derived from owe. Awesome means excellent but awful meaning is really bad. Formerly, awesome and awful were synonymous but at the end of the 19th century, the meaning of awful changed to extremely bad and frightful. In old English, awe meant dread, fear, and terror. It was mainly used to depict the reverential or respectful fear concerning God. In the 1700s, awe meant reverential wonder and solemn and was used to depict thunder or storm at sea. In the Oxford English Dictionary, the awesome meaning is great, marvelous, and stunning.
      Learning is cool, isn’t it?😊

What culture are u talking about? Dreadlocks have been traditional in many completely separate cultures since the dawn of time, even celts had dreads

@@DeathSpawn187 that isn’t the point I was making… the point I’m making is that words change in meanings… pick whichever culture you want. It makes no difference to my point.
