    Cool video!! I have the M06, and find it a bit tricky to set up :-) Also it has a difficulty to go straight, if I turn left, it will continue to go left a bit afterwards, and vice versa. So the front is quite unstable :-(

    I like what you mentioned here, you said M class is good for beginners. But is it harder to drive a 2WD like M08 compared to a touring 4WD?

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว

      In general yes. With RWD you only have 2 wheels to accelerate and more important, to brake.

      I've raced the M05 since 2010 as well. Just my thoughts: 1) Tires, 2) long wheelbase, 3) tight front TA03 ball diff, 4) 1,300 grm weight (maybe 40gms in front bumper, 5)swaybars front/rear, 6) ride height fine tuning. Then the big secret, learn how to "flick" brake. Just stab the brake before the apex of the corner quickly to make the turns without traction roll or overshooting. Traction compound to balance.

    Awesome tips! Yes all the best in the Asian Cup, and I hope to see you here in Singapore in Sep! :-D For the M08, which is also a rwd car, what shock oil, springs, diff oil and ride height will you recommend for a good start for a low-medium medium technical track?

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have an M08, but would start with box setup. Low-medium grip tracks usually favor fwd over rwd. 400wt oil, yellow/red springs, soft diff, as much rear toe in, 4-5mm ride height.

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GabrielChua75 Acceleration causes weight shift to rear tires, which favors rwd. When track grip is low, there is less acceleration and less weight transfer to the rear. Weight is kept on the front tires and favors fwd.
