Hi there Mr rccartips. Mid term (3 yrs) follower and admirer of your content. I’m wondering if you have any knowledge of the M-08R from Tamiya. I race a low traction (blown car park track, no sugar or other prep, 20-40 Celsius track temps). There is a small m-chassis class with a few guys running the M07. I have the M07R and I would love to try the M08R. Any tips, is it worth the effort/cost, or is the M07R far superior on this type of surface? Thanks
@@lawrencewinter I've been testing the M08 the past month and racing with M07s on a tight cement surface track. For your track condition I would say the M07 will have an advantage. The M08 can be faster but on a certain track layout (e.g. no 180 degree turns) and grip level.
I have had both 07 and 08, once I had them set up for me I would find that I spent more time on the M07. It has taught me more about carrying speed into corners. But will jump on the M08 if I want a change but end up on the 07 every time.
Wow! down here in Tasmania AUS we pray for a sunny day for more grip...Grass is always greener hah? Keep up the great videos brother, thoroughly enjoyable.👌👍
I want to start on the M chassis. I have been with 4x4 for years. I have experience. What do you recommend? m05, m06, m07, m08? I'm not going to compete, it's fun in a smooth backyard and things like that Thanks!
ok so the track sits on a roof 4 floors high, is it asphalt or concrete? If its concrete do they treat it? With what? I know they mop it, and spray with water
I have to ask, Where have you put the m06 aerial? Ive no idea where to put mine as i dont want it through the shell.
Maybe on top of the battery? Newer receivers have very short aerials and do not need antenna tubes.

Btw, its a 10s lap on 13.5T end touring. 12s with 17.5T stock M07, fairly tight track

Tamiya M05 is a good one. Very durable and its front wheel drive. Or you can also get the m07r, not as durable as m05 but gearing is open.
@@GenSapalicio thanks!
@@JoseGarcia-yk3dl Tamiya m08 is a rear wheel drive mini chassis. Its good to get tamiya because you will be able to buy parts.
@@GenSapalicio very thanks
Do you not race at this track anymore?
Track is closed since last year.
Can the m04 wheelbase be modified to 239mm like the m06? I like the m04 setup but need the m06 wheelbase
Yes. There is a spacer included in the kit.

Mop with water and cornsyrup. Then add coke.
Are there rc drag races in singapore ?
You remember what temperature was that day?
Can't remember but it was warm/hot.
I understand, that is why I asked. Today it is 27*C here in Stockholm, Sweden. And I think that is super hot.
Air temp around 30c :)
