I dont do anything out of the ordinary, just spray it down after fishing

I thought spotted sea trout were catch-and-release only in state or federal waters through May 31, 2020.
That is only southwest florida
What type of rod do you use? Do you get tired casting all day or is it light?
7 ft medium Impact rods. No I dont, typically I am makeing 40-60 ft casts under the mangroves.
