  • ABSTRACT: I recently published a paper in Philosophia Christi arguing that pro-Nicene theologians cannot affirm the sentence that God created the world through Jesus, which sentence contemporary proponents of early high Christology think is taught by the New Testament. Scott M. Williams was invited to publish a response to my paper in the same issue of the journal. His response is titled “Where Literalistic Reading Fears to Tread-Logical Consistency between Some Propositions in the New Testament and the Divine Persons’ Being Consubstantial: Response to Steven Nemes,” Philosophia Christi 26, no. 1 (2024): 25-46. Here I offer a rejoinder to Prof. Williams.
