mm, YES. wow. especially with love readings- people always want a "yes or no" to if they will be together forever. Tarot isn't always so black or white- and energy always shifts. i always let my clients know things can change & they control their own future, and that I only read energy im not god or the universe
My two favorite phrase to use is "nothing is ever set in stone" and "you are the writer of your story"
In the end it is ultimately up to the person because it is there life. Thank you for this video

one thing i am noticing as a theme is that people (tarot readers and the people asking for readings) are coming into the reading with a dis-empowered energy. NOT in a traditional sense but more in the sense that, there is this underlying belief that the cards or the reader is supposed to tell them what to do, or give them "answers"
i have never felt comfortable telling someone what actions to take, or what direction to go in. Which to me is just indicative of them feeling dis-empowered. through looking for the answers outside of them self, whether from cards or from the person reading the cards.
just like you were saying, ultimately the person who has the power to create a scenario, end a scenario, or change a scenario is the person who is inquiring what to do.
And the minute the reading is over, the potential realities change, simply due to the person being aware of things that can affect their decision making that they were not aware of before the reading.
One thing i wish would be addressed more within in the tarot community, is the concept of consent and how far is too far when it comes to intruding upon someone else's energetic energy field through readings.
i have no big issues with pulling cards for someone who is inquiring about love, and seeking insight on an blockages that has come up within their existing relationship.
but for someone wanting to know what "the soulmate is up to", or looking for readings that are focused on the other individual, especially when that individual is not physically apart of their life by choice....at what point does that become an infringement upon the other individual's autonomy and consent.
this is something i find myself toying with. i'm not sure i will offer readings that are "peaking" into what is going on in another person's reality. i'd rather focus on the person i am reading for. But at the same time, i don't judge people who seem to specialize in those kinds of readings.... it's just something my soul feels uneasy about personally.
I'm curious as to your thoughts on this aspect of tarot/intuitive work.
Verena Fri - You make a very good point here and I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable reading for someone else without their consent. You can perhaps state before the reading begins that you have moral limitations regarding others that are not present for the reading that they may inquire about, unless they can verify over the phone/text that they consent. That way, you set boundaries before the question even pops up so they understand that’s your protocol and won’t take it personal.
Youre right, third party questions are not a great way to start a reading. Tarot is a self reflection tool, so I see it as whatever your energy is giving off, will come up in the cards. If a client feels deep down that their partner is cheating, wether it be rational or irrational, it will most likely come up no matter what the partner is actually up too. Its all in the clients energy. Therefore third party questions arent a good idea as they reflect how you feel about the other person and not how the person actually feel.s
I apologize for what I am about to say. But it's nothing but the TRUTH. ALL of the Tarot Readers are FRAUDS/Con Artists There is this specific one here on TH-cam by the name of FAERY ORACLE TAROT. She Loves to Boast and Bully people that comment under her posts about the TRUTH and then she acts like the Victim later it's about time we ALL rise as one and take these FRAUDS/CON ARTISTS DOWN and AWAY from TH-cam, ALL these Tarot Readers do is LITERALLY STEAL people's money, almost like panhandling👌💯🤷

I read for myself because i paid a woman for a reading as well i specifically stated i would wait because i didnt want to be part of a rush. She seemed high, scattered, and started talking about astrology but i asked for a tarot reading. I told her how i was disappointed and never got a response. I will tell you the cards do see. As she said in this video it may become apparent later. As a dedicated student though its a drag i sometimes write down my reading. And this time i understood about a week or two later. They were oracle cards and one said Deception: someone is wearing a false mask in this situation. Well i know its not me. So- it took an argument for it to come blurting out- but sure enough this man who was telling me he should just marry me, come live with me- and it was considerable bc ive been praying for a warmer climate but im used to lifes tricks and peoples shit so, 2 weeks later it came out he was currently dating someone. I have to say i have found no value in going to a tarot reader. One time the cards it was like Wow Yeah thats the energies. But it didn’t empower me or give me advice which is what i wanted, advice for making my life better. So anyway im not sure how to read for other people im afraid it wont be valuable at this point im like okay yeah so what... but it has a lot to do with the questions you ask and im still learning to work with it if i can make it beneficial but its real. You have to leave the readers who are dramatic and over the top you have to spend time w it i listened to like 20 readers last January for Aquarius and it sounds absurd cuz thats a large group but 8 readers had the same reading and it resonated. Youre not likely gonna hit the jackpot your first try into this stuff its deffffffffffinately a process. Its a lot. Get into it, youll see what its about if you are sincere and devoted. There are frauds out there i had 2 ladies in new york pick me out of the crowd and try to tell me im cursed and i need a spiritual whatever. I didnt believe them but now i wonder for real. Anyway if youre diligent you can weed through the ones who are not in tune. Theres a lot of really annoying false claimers out there just playing around entertaining themselves but there are also those who ARE in tune. Maybe your path is not to get answers but to set intentions and work with that instead of seeking outside yourself even if i do yoga wow i am so much more in tune with the cards some people are just running with their mind puffing their feathers and its annoying. If you chose a fraud ask yourself what drew you to them, why did you feel or think or judge this person to know or help or be authentic? I chose the girl i was disappointed in because she was creative and unique and her way was fun. She did pick up on something but i feel jipped bc her energy was scattered and i felt more in tune than her. Im sorry i paid her but she did turn me on to this one lady who teaches tarot on youtube. It takes dedication and experiencing life and deep reflection but you got youtube videos saying learn tarot in ten minutes. No
I appreciate the dialogue you brought into this video. As I transition into reading professionally, developing a code of ethics, focusing on free choice, and respecting the querent as a human being is huge and I would like to see more readers embrace this. Thank you for this video.

Thank you Jess for this video it is very informative on how to read and lately I have been asking my spirits for guidance on reading my cards for myself I don't read for any one else as I am still learning. I don't have a lot of time to practice and I only do it when I wake up in the morning and my stuff done.

yes, absolutely. A def. mistake that I've seen with other's a lot here lately on like those tick tok videos...I think these readers are basically reading for themselves and it comes out for the one needing the reading and that's the way it comes out but yet they don't even realize it that's its going on with them internally but those in or for the reading can still resonate on a basic level.

I deeply appreciate what your saying. Ive read on and of for 20 years. I do try to clarify the spread and the cards meaning and the linkages. Ive had very few that had not had a clear direction. But also that there are choices on the table. Ive been observing the trend to speed talk or go through reading cards very quickly. I can only imagine it could confuse a client and not give them time to take in the interpretation. The value of truth in the reading and your best intuitive call to share how to share the message. A prominent reader told me that my fiancé was cheating on me Twice this happened to me. My intuition is strong and I ended up second guessing myself and my relationship and ended up almost sabatoge it. I’m a reader myself and I had to accept that I didn’t know that I would love him either way and forgive him either way. We got married 9/4 we have three children so it was worth fixing it even if it was broken. Greatful to trust my own messages and guides they show up and flash my lights in my house if I’m being rediculous or if someone around me needs a healing so for that I’m greatful. Christ consciousness gave me the staples to understand we all screw up. Just love hearing others ethics perspectives I appreciate your enlightenment.

One thing I tell people a lot is that fate only tells you what happens but it doesnt control what you do and how you act so the way you act on this information is in your hands. I want people I read for to feel encouraged to take the reigns of their life once the reading is done.
I had a designated position in my layout spread called final guidance. I change it what you should do. I was persuaded to do so by more than one of my customers. I will put it back to what I initial called it. People truly want you to tell them what to do and that never sat right witg me I needed to see this. I encourage full autonomy in all areas of my life. I will also bring back my final statement of (something) "your intuition will have the final say you only contacted me for confirmation of what you already know". I guess I let some of my clients bully me into telling them what to do. Yet those same clients really still aren't satisfied at the time and question the "what you should do" but do tend to call back and say I was right 🤷🏾♀️ I am still growing I guess, thanks for the upload. I prefer "final guidance" honestly I am not responsible for anyone other than myself (and dependence)

Love you Jess. Thank you again for your wisdom. I do find that sometimes i ask a question and get a wierd answer. Im a beginner at Oracle cards and i work with a host of Archangels. So this was extremely insightful.
I had a reading where a lady was telling me what to do. I felt like she wasn’t reading the situation correctly at all. I had a past with a guy and I was taking the responsibility for what I did and she was trying to tell me I was putting too much blame on myself. I was putting a lot of the blame on myself because I caused most of the issues. He wasn’t without blame but I felt like she was confusing me because I behaved horrible in the situation. I didn’t understand and was left confused because I knew I was responsible. Some of the cards didn’t respond with what she was saying about him cause I never saw him in that light so I was like this doesn’t masks sense. I was left confused. Is that a good sign of a reader?

There are many schools of astrology such as Vedic, Uranian etc.
Anyone who tells you what to do has their own agenda. No way should anyone use their gift to manipulate others.

But it's hard to not be judgemental and respect peoples' journeys when you can see so clearly that they're choosing a painful path. Add to that any kind of denial, and I find myself being more blatant in my readings. Some people come to tarot readers and they don't want to hear anything difficult... they're only interested in hearing good things.
Tarot reads energy. There is no way you can read a person's life from the cards. Leave god mode at the door.

A reader can break a persons heart by their message. I say this because a reader told me after looking at the cards that I should REALLY REALLY consider my twin flame because there are too many burdens and obstacles.
