    Thank you for making this video. I am a mature man. When I first started studying Tarot in the 1980s what people thought the court cards meant was more based on definitions and memorizing the made it easier. These days they can be viewed on many different levels, your method helps me pull together the “old” way of viewing the court with the new way. I’m definitely going to watch this again. I have picked up and put down Tarot over the years, but this time I intend to make them more of a permanent part of my life. I feel that I am The King of Cups. I am mature and have learned many lessons but still need to learn more. I’m a Pieces so the water element of cups works well for me. I have also been told I’m compassionate and seem to make a difference in peoples lives. My biggest challenge as King of Cups is to keep myself on a centered emotional level.

    I also think if the king as leadership and the queen as management. The king makes the decisions but the queen has to implement the plans, manage the people and make sure that things get done and done right.

    Thank you so much for creating these amazing videos! I thought I couldn't learn tarot because my adhd makes memorization extremely difficult, but the way you explained everything helped me understand instead of trying to memorize key words. I made some little cheat sheets for each suit but I am going to try to use the general understanding and my intuition to read the cards.

    Great post👍thank you so much. This is one of the BEST comprehensive explanations of "The Court" cards I have seen to date. The historic knowledge you've weaved into each family's functionality, responsibility and stations is wonderful. I love medieval history! Understanding each cards title, as well as how the energy of their suit (cups, wands, pentacles, swords) flows through to the meaning of each card, is so helpful. Tarot is a life long journey of learning. I am happy to incorporate this knowledge into my readings going forward. Blessings🙏

    I also think if the nights in terms of what they are willing to fight for/ what cause they are willing to champion.
    The knight of pentacles will fight for land, property, possessions, wealth and things of great material value as well as to protect his home and family and also to protect his boundaries but also to expand his domain.
    The knight of cups will fight for love, ideals, god, his lady, the holy grail… he’s a romantic an idealist and also he’s on a quest for spiritual enlightenment, inner perfection and impossible dreams, nothing less than magic, holeyness, righteousness… (could become self righteous though)… etc, in his mind his ideals are pure… he may also be seeking the fountain of youth or the philosophers stone. He’s most likely to have a messiah complex, or just to feel he needs meaning and a higher purpose.

    Seeing them as a family actually helps so much rather than just seeing them as cards. I guess that's why it's good when you actually put yourself into the card and almost embody the character and imagine what the person would be like if you were them.
    Rather than looking from the outside in

    I know the meaning of the court cards but how to read them in a spread is different…it would be nice to show a Celtic cross spread for example and have 3 or 4 court cards in there to teach us how to interpret the court cards.

  • @jodileigh571
    @jodileigh571 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    great explanation. I have a question? Does it matter which way the courts are facing? For instance the King of Wands is facing and looking to the left while the King of Swords is facing and looking towards the right? Left symbolizes the past while the right symbolizes thr future?? Same with some Pages and Queens? I would like to assume that a Queen facing left, may offer direction direction to evaluate, analysis or change the past while A Queen facing right may offer insight to the future. Would that be correct?

    • @jackiescrystalmoon
      @jackiescrystalmoon 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I would agree with that. Also, for example if you picked a page card first, facing to the right and a Queen facing left (so they are looking at each other) it would mean and mother and child who get on well
      However if the cards were pulled the other way around (and not facing each other) it would mean a mother and child who are not talking, not getting along
