    Just made it. Supposed to become a bread but mine become a brownie I stead lol. Taste awesome. I lessen the sugar by a lot I only put 30g of brown sugar and I changed the milk to water to cut down the calories. It turns out to be the best brownie I ever made lol. I added more water because I followed the receipt the batter is super dry clump up so I added more water. Plus my chocolate is dark chocolate but it's super sweet that's why I cut down a lot of the sugar. In the end it balance it out not too sweet just nice. If I were using 70% and above chocolate I would increase the sugar but not as much as the receipt I dont like over sweet stuff.

    I'm making it right now it's in the oven and there's a few things I've changed
    1- I added half tsp of coffee because it enhances the flavour of the chocolate
    2 - I added half a tbsp of vinegar because it moisturises the cake especially if there's baking soda
    3- Lastly I used half melted butter and half vegetable oil because butter gives your cake a nice flavour and oil gives your cake moisture and a better texture

    This may be super old, but idk. Does the melted butter need to cool down or can you just immediately put it in? I think mine was hot, and in pouring it it may have cooked the eggs or something because it began clumping up with the egg and milk
    Edit: Yeah I'm a fucking dumbass. It was because of the butter still being hot. Just had to wait for it to cool down and then put it in

    • @SugarSaltMagic

    Hi! It looks great, and I'm mixing the ingredients right now. The only thing that has me confused is the measurements in the recipe. For example, it says (on your website) 2 cups of all purpose flour/9oz. Isn't 2 cups 16oz? 55 grams of dutch processed cocoa (1/2 cup / 2oz.) When 1/2 a cup is 4oz. Which one is it? I'm going to use the cups instead of the Oz. measurements cause I already have the oven heating up, lol. Wish me luck, and thanks for the recipe!

    • @SugarSaltMagic
      @SugarSaltMagic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Daniel. 2 cups of butter would be 16 oz but not flour. A cup is a volume measurement, not a weight measurement. If you're using cups for things like flour and cocoa, just make sure to spoon the flour into the cup, then level off with the back of a knife (as opposed to scooping from the container with the cup).

      @@SugarSaltMagic I’ve read that most loaf cakes take anywhere between 40-60 minutes. My first blueberry/ white chocolate loaf cake I baked I baked it for 60 min. It came out amazing everyone loved it but I did notice it browned a little ok the edges . Do you know the sweet spot for the timing of cooking loaf cakes ? :) or is it all different and depends on the recipe ?

    • @SugarSaltMagic
      @SugarSaltMagic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@andreasanchez2815 40-60 is a fair guide but yes, it truly does depend on the recipe itself and the pan size will also vary the baking time. The sweet spot is really just when a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs attached but not wet batter.
