Her travel blog is hugely popular, helping travellers get the most out of their trips without affecting the local communities. Hey guys! I filmed this video in January, right at the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak. If you have a holiday to Japan booked, you might miss out on some things you want to see given the mass closures of popular tourist destinations. Alyse from The Invisible Tourist has been to each of the locations in todays video more recently, and didn’t encounter any issues with closures.
The situation is constantly evolving, so make sure you check with your country’s Department of Foreign Affairs and advice of local authorities. Also be aware that you will also be required to spend 14 days in quarantine in a designated facility if you arrive in Japan from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau or South Korea.
Still keen to go? The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends taking the following precautions regardless of where you travel:
- Washing your hands with soap and water frequently. If soap is unavailable, use a hand sanitiser with a high alcohol content.
- Maintain at least a metre between yourself and anyone who appears to be ill, particularly those coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Practicing respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose when sneeze or coughing, disposing of tissues thoughtfully and washing your hands with soap and water immediately afterwards.
- Contacting the local health authorities immediately should you begin to feel unwell.
I was going to ask how that was and if you had to be quarantined. Does anyone have the coronovirus in Australia? We have about 32 total confirmed cases in Tennessee right now (if it hasnt gone up overnight). So needless to say we are trying to stay home as much as we can! My two kids got 3 weeks out for spring break vs the one week they usually get bc of the virus.
Unfortunately I was going to Japan this Easter but because of the Corona outbreak our government have cancels all ingoing and out going planes. It’s very responsible but very unfortunate 💔😔 I have been binging your Japan videos to prepare and plan and I’m heart broken that I won’t go. But keep the Japan content coming. I love it! Pink Heart Egg is fine for vegetarians, just not vegans.
@@crazyplantlady18 some vegetarians don't eat egg due to their beliefs. Some do. I don't thats why I would not be able to eat food with egg in it.
with all this going to japan ( that we love) you should do a proper travelers vid with going to the airport, the flight, the conditions on the plane, the transport... how to navigate everything ! i think it would be a very well explained and composed video :)

I really love your Japan travel vlogs, they've reminded me of how much I wanted to go there when I was a teenager. Now I'm 41, married with a 3 year old so it'll be a few years before I get the chance, but in the meantime these are great inspiration. And damn I want a custard cream puff! 😊

Your hair looks great in the plaits when you are trying the cream puffs that look suits you even your fringe looks good wearing your hair that way also goes well with the top.

I was going to Japan tomorrow but due to the corona virus my government have advised their citizens to stay here and now travel abroad. I’ve rescheduled and I’ll be going in I think mid of April instead. Hopefully I can find your cat at the temple! :)

Cafe Ron Ron was literally the cutest and the food was really good! That was one of my favorite little places! They also gave us a free water bottle with a drink which was cute!!

I really love your video's, and this one was so enjoyable to watch as I really want to travel to Japan one day when I can afford to (And there's no virus outbreak). I only found your channel recently thanks to a previous Japan video of yours, but I've been watching a lot of you're previous video's the last few weeks and really enjoy them. You're so genuine and such a joy to watch. I'm also an Australian girl as well, though I live in Victoria, so it's nice watching an Australian TH-camr (especially since it's more familiar and you grew up with some similar things to me) and I really enjoyed watching the videos that had to do with the bush fires. It was so amazing to see how much you and your fans raised.
Can't wait for future videos as I love your content, and especially can't wait to see if you do any more Japan videos as they're going to help me so much when I hopefully can afford to go there.

They are not turtles they are terrapins. They eat meat and have very sharp claws, they tend to catch fish and frogs and rip them open :D Very chomp.

(Love your hair color, but if I could suggest trying to get a little volume at your roots?? You should come visit Hokkaido sometime~ It's really beautiful up here. Although you usually do more fashion-type content, so I can't say there's much of that up here. XD Still, it's amazing and lots of interesting little things to do. Also if you come in summer you can see beautiful fields of flowers :3

I mean, if you wanted to drop the fashion hauls & challenges and go 100% full-time travel vlogger, I wouldn't be mad. Like, at all. So informative, but also so beautifully shot. You really have an eye for it, from what you film to how you edit it. [I'm assuming that's what you went to school for, as you've made mention of working professionally as a photographer. If so, time & money well spent!]
I paused the video when you were inserting your money, to read the prices, and am pissed that the Cafe ticket is cheaper for women! I can easily eat twice as much as my brother. Surprised they didn't do the price based on how much someone weighs. What discriminatory nonsense!
In japan it's more common for women to eat less. Plus I think it would be worse to be weighed. I'm insecure about my weight and that would make me feel awful...
@@marianaprado2856 I used weight as an example, because there have been cases where larger people were charged more at buffets/all-you-can-eat restaurants because of the misconception that people who are big are that size because they must overeat and not for a multitude of other reasons.
