I have a 3-book system, out of necessity. My personal Weeks is the heart of it, while my "therapeutic" Weeks is the soul. I use the first one as my personal bujo and I keep it simple and functional so my ADHD brain doesn't get overwhelmed. I put everything self-development, therapy and fun related in my messy Weeks, because I love to play around with arts and journaling and like to not down anything and everything to soothe my burning brain or when I'm stressed. The third book is my work BuJo, for 2023 I'll be in a Sterling Ink common planner. I manage projects at work and that notebook is literally my brain. I love closing it when my work hours are done and not opening it till I start work the next day.
That sounds lovely! I'm beginning my first job soon as a project manager and your work BuJo sounds like it's right up my alley! Could you share more details as to how you structure your BuJo and how you use it for project management? I also get overwhelmed easily so I'm also trying to find out ways to relax my brain and keep things organized!
I used to do a three-book system for work - TN-style but without a cover, just using jump bands to strap all three books together because I like to live dangerously, I guess. I used three Moleskine Cahiers (which I wouldn't do these days as I'm back on my fountain pen bullshit, but it worked for me then). The front book was a self-structured planner - bullet journal style, just without any spreads other than two-weekly pages (since my work was also running in sprints). The second book was an unstructured notebook that mostly got used as a meeting log -- this book filled up and got swapped out for a fresh one quite often. The third book was a "permanent" notebook for reference info and anything I wanted to keep ready access to, and this basically never got swapped out - in a couple of years of using this system I never filled this book up. The whole system worked really well, and if I was still in the same kind of role I'd definitely still use the same system now.
It was YOU!!!!! I couldn't for the life of me remember who gave me the idea to check out Planner Vintage and I purchased a cute sakura A6 planner cover for my health and wellness planner!!! I feel so much better now. :)
Thanks for the video. I'm using a 2 book planner system too. One is the Hobonichi Weeks (the dupe Kinbor in fact, which I love) but I needed a daily planner also. So I made my own daily planner book with Canva. It is been working really nicely.
I had wanted to try a hobonichi weeks for the simplicity of the monthly and weekly layout to save time and use a cut down stayology for a daily to do artsy diary. Had no cover as yet, so thank you!
If you put the string in the middle pages of your Weeks, it might stop the distortion you have going on. Also, no need to then tuck into the cover, but use it for other stuff instead. I use a two book system in strings, too - a cousin for planning and daily notes and workings and a stalogy for meeting notes and records i need to keep beyond a single calendar year. Thanks for sharing your set up.
I use a Hobonichi Weeks for work and Hobonichi cousin for my personal life ! My work to-do list is too long and I have too many deadlines to put everything in one planner. Love your videos ♥️ thanks for sharing !!
This is similar to what I am doing in 2023. I am going to use the Jibun Techo Biz and Days. If it works for 2023, then I will see about getting a nice cover for 2024.
Super cute set up! If you really love the charm you could get a pet tag silencer for it. It's a little silicone edge wrap that would keep it from clanging.
Thanks for the fabulous video! I also love having both my personal and work planners together in one cover. I use a Chic Sparrow Weekly Calendar Cover, which has held up fabulous but is a little bit pricier. I'm excited to check out the Planner Vintage cover. Can't wait for your next video!
I like the two book system but never tried, but especially going hmmm didn’t know Asian vintage did covers like that! I have one that fits for one Weeks. Cool. Thanks for sharing.
I think your 2-book system is genius! Congrats on finding a cover that so perfectly fits them both. If I had a 2-book system in 1 cover, I would definitely put the dated one in front. For '23 I will be using a Hobo A6 for calendar & to-do's, plus a Hobo Cousin A5 as a health & wellness planner. I am happy with these, but they won't fit in one cover. Love your system!
Oh yeah, you definitely have to have the same size to make the system work - but that's not to say yours won't be great, RB! I also have a few other planners kicking around for 2023... but this is definitely going to be my main. Thank you so much for watching!
This is a nice idea, but for me, less is more, because I fail to be on top of planning. I even have planning in my habit tracker, so... I use one bullet journal, set up weekly (vertically) and horizontally I draw lines for the different areas of my life. On top, there is always work (5 horizontal sections for the 5 courses I teach this semester, spring semester will be 6). Then there are Students, Academia, my Son's stuff, Home, Personal. I also have separate sections about my semester planner/ syllabus and a yearly vertical panorama. I've never seen anyone setting up their bujo like the way I do.
Hi Neenah! The multipen is the free pen from Hobonichi for 2023. The brown one and the gold one are both Fudetouch Sign pens, which are a lot like the Tombow fudenosuke brush pens, in brown and yellow ochre respectively. The final one is one of the Zebra Sarasa Clip Vintage pens, 0.5 tip I thiiiiink in the color camel yellow.
Good question! It was a shop called ScrapNoms, search their etsy page for "Railroad Platform antique bronze travelers notebook charm"! Thanks for watching.

This sounds like such a good system. I love the idea of a messy planner where you can just be your fullest most creative self!

If I have a two book planner system, I would put one dated planner in the front for work, and one plain notebook for personal/creative journal ✨💖

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING THE SUNSHINE STICKER CO NOTEBOOK! I’ve been wanting a weeks-sized notebook SOOOO much but couldn’t find a US shop!
OMG you are so welcome. I LOVE this little notebook and I hope you try it out!
Do you find that it’s hard to write in them with both planners in the same book?
Amazing cover, thanks for the link to the etsy store.
You're welcome I hope you like!

I put the charm on the elastic itself instead of on the spine because the clanging drives me crazy! Love this setup!
Ahh paula you get me!! Thanks for watching

Oooo my gosh this sounds perfect
I’m actually using my Traveler’s Notebook cover for my Hobonichi weeks and a TN insert! Works really well for me
Thats awesome!

Have you ever tried using two band to secure the soft cover books? I think using a band in each -front and back- cover should do the trick. 🤔
I have tried that in some other traveler's style notebooks I've used!

This sounds so intense Julie but I love the dedication to planning!! I'm so curious what it looks like
@@RachelleinTheory it sounds intense? Wow, I'd never thought it! I've sent you a DM on your instagram, with pictures.
I need this cover!!! I’m using 2 mega weeks and I couldn’t find a cover that fits both of them!!!!
it's honestly STUNNING
Hiii! What pens do you have next to you? I am looking for those type of colors! ❤️

This was such a great video. So happy to know I can justify getting 2 Hobonichi Weeks if I feel I need to 😁. The cover is leather?
The cover is leather yes! Thanks for watching Jill.
Love your setup! 💜 Which Etsy shop did you get your charm from? I've tried searching and I can't find it.
