I have a 2001 TJ 4.0 eng., 3spd auto, that started struggling in drive, but also won't back up in reverse at all! Did you or anyone else have that same scenario regarding no reverse? Would greatly appreciate feedback asap, seeing how winter is soon to be upon us and I may need to work on it outside!!! 🥶😰😂
Thanks for making this video its really building my confidence up in trying to do my car. I have a Chrysler 300 with the same transmission but no vids on that specific car. For clarification, the two plugs that need to be disconnected, do you disconnect them after removing the valve body? I assume its in there so you would need to pull everything out and then disconnect, or am I completely wrong lol. Also not sure if I missed it in the video but how many quarts of transmission fluid did it take when you had to fill it back up?
You will never get anywhere close to removing all the transmission fluid from your driveway, your driveway gobbled it up. So, don't even bother just let it go where it wants to go and make sure it doesn't happen again I suppose
i have a question, i have a jeep wrangler sport unlimited 2010 v6 automatic, i have a problem with a trasmision the scanner saying (Low/Reverse Solenoid Circuit } will be same problem ? yours ?
No I'm afraid this only applies to wranglers up to 2006. Yours is located on the exterior of the transmission so it's actually easier. See the following link. easyautodiagnostics.com/chrysler/3.3L-3.8L/transmission-code-p0750-test-1
I've never encountered the 8s codes, but it does appear he's correct based on my research. Luckily if you do it yourself and he's wrong your really not out to much money. I know it may sound stupid, but when was the last time you checked the fluid level or flushed the tranny. Most of those codes involve fluid monitoring.
I got the valve body out but putting it back in is not so easy once i finaly got it in and the bracket reinstalled it will either not go into park or not go into low 1 what am i doing wrong
I'm thinking that the linkage might not be sitting fully on the shaft. Have someone watch it while you cycle the gears. Sounds like something is interfering.
I have a 42rle on mine that's having trouble. Engine cuts out after being shifted into drive or reverse. If I slam the gas I might get it to move in drive, but then when I stop at a stop sign the engine cuts out again. Was your jeep doing anything like this?
I actually thought he said "Coke" as well. I was 'bout ready to place my order, break out the "Jack" to mix with the Coke and get this project started!🤪 Don't know which sounds more reckless. Jack & Coke, or throwing a Cobra🐍in to the mix!😳😆

Sorry for the late reply. Yes it's been running great for months now.
Does the shifter need to be in low gear
Sorry for the late reply. You will need to place it in 1st.
